He's vermin. Pure and simple. You cannot argue with that.

But if we signed him, he would bang the goals in. If that happened, there would not be a single Hearts fan who wouldn't celebrate each and every goal.

That's the nature of the game. It allows us to be the biggest hypocrites on the planet. Because every goal wouldn't be a Marlon King goal, it'd be a Hearts goal.

I would take him.. We need goals and he would bang them in at an incredible rate in the SPL..

He is after all a premiership striker who is having to move lower due to being a horrible person away from football..

As long as he did the business on the pitch and lead a quieter life off it i would be more than happy..

People will say he's served his punishment and deserves a second chance, regardless of how you feel about his crime.
However with the general anti-Hearts feeling that exists in the press I don't think we need the hassle or the negative publicity that would come with signing a former convict.

Vlad's previous deviant outreach programme didn't end terribly so, nah best leave it alone. Plus King is utter vermin & on the sex offenders register. Hibs are welcome to him, he'd no doubt be a role model to some of their players.

Whats the bets he'd start licking his lips in interviews too.

Correct and when we don't currently have someone to put the ball in the net....I'd take him in a second.

Yip I would also have him. He would bang the goals in. See QPR and Coventry both interested so would expect him to go to the Championship.

He's been in the big house twice and has 14 previous convictions. If he was to say he was going to be a born again Christian I would sign him.

Dont want the beast at Hearts!!

Decent player, but to much baggage and he hits women, so **** having that **** wearing our club jersey.

How ever, he does deserve a second chance, just like joey barton was giving.

Just had a quick look at his wiki page - 14 convictions. I retract my earlier thoughts, way too much baggage.

Just read it the man is vermin.

Puting aside moral concerns about the man's criminal record I still wouldn't want him, in the same way I didn't want Izale McLeod and why Christian Nade was terrible for us - these guys have no reason or attachment to come play in Scottish football other than money and the fact that very few clubs down south actually wanting them, if they could get a club/money down there then they would so we shouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

It's different with a younger player trying to put himself in the spotlight as several did at Motherwell last season or at Dundee Utd where Cadamateri already had a connection to the manager from a previous club.

I wouldn't want him at the club, and not just becuase he's vermin. I saw him at Hull before he got into trouble (Again!) & he was pants. Lazy, no movement & not interested.

Under no circumstances.

The guy is nothing but vermin and not fit to wear our badge. Our club should not associate it's self with vile people like him.

I am going to put this out to the masses, and appreciate it may be controversial, however I feel this could be a deal that is not beyond the realms of possibility.

There will be a lot of clubs staying clear due to his baggage, however this could work in our favour. He needs games to get his sharpness back, so a 12 month contract on say 4-5K per week is worth an offer. If anything a change of scene may do him good and to be honest would score for fun up here.

I know there is moral issues and I for one would never condone his past, however it's football!!

yep hes better than anything weve got

Just been told Marlon King and his agent are discussing a deal with Inverness today!

Don't know whether there is any truth in it or not.

That's what I thought.

Signed into the Marriott with his agent and a minder this afternoon apparently.

Never. I would rather have Nade back.

That's taking it too far.

King smacked a bird, very bad.

Nade is massive and smacked a tiny wee Jambo, unforgivable.

Careful now, or the thought police will be accusing you of flaunting religion.

On topic, as it stands, he is seemingly nowhere near "going to be" - as stated elsewhere on this thread - no regrets = no repentance = no new birth!

PS It would give that awful woman at the Herald something to get on her rocking horse about> No, Colin! Behave yourself!!!
