its the best way into london mate! just don't think about the fact that there isn't a driver on the train when you're leaving the airport

I have been on the docklands Light railway before, the place I am staying is just next to one station, so shouldn't take me more than 20 mins to get there. Though I do wish I had chosen the earlier flight to London as I have the day off from work and will have to get my dinner quite late.

If a fat bastid like me can skip a meal to watch the boys, I'm sure you can mate :D

dinner? thats what weatherspoons in edi is for. then you have have your free g&t on your ba flight and get set straight into the liquids as soon as you've checked into your hotel. if you can't be ersed going into central london you can't go far wrong in wapping with the likes of captain kidds and the prospect of whitby. easily reachable on the dlr

A few guys had earlier asked how many jambos are heading down - according to Hearts between 1000 - 1500.

Hope everyone has a guid weekend!

How do they get to that figure ???

Have they been counting the people who say they are going on this thread or are they possibly just guestimating ?

Anyway can't wait, will be coming up from Brighton with at least one other and parking my arse in a pub near london bridge station till it's time to hit the train to south bermondsey.

Confident of a win

Looking at getting train tickets from London Stansted to London Bridge/South Bermondsey.

I've noticed the train to South Bermondsey is about £10 cheaper and there's a change from tube to train at London Bridge. I'd assume it would be easy enough to just disappear into the pub at London Bridge without having to part with an extra tenner. Would someone that knows London Bridge station be able confirm this? Thanks.

Heres a quote from one of the Millwall forums...

"hundreds of the ****s down chatham high street all day, being rude to old people and kicking dogs. i had it with one of them after he tried choring me chips. i threw a pickled onion at him and blacked his eye, the filthy jock ****.

watch out, be warned. "

Any good pubs with a good jukebox around London Bridge?

Like a few tunes to get in the mood to go along with the blasting out of Hearts songs!

Looking forward to it now. Up at 4:10am, pick up one of the troops then get a lift through to Glasgow airport at 5am.

By 6am we'll be in the bar having a pint and a bacon roll I hope! Assuming everyone will be gathering in the London Bridge area? Won't be wearing any colours though so will just have to listen out for the accents!

Depends how much you have to drink, leaving myself in around 20 minutes for a few drinks before heading South overnight.
