Are those the only two options? If so, I could see why you'd be a fan of his.

Budgie's Boyfriend

Plenty options Liam but most radio stations etc throw chart stuff at you , we hardly hear any music by Scottish artists on the so called local radio stations, so anybody from Scotland doing what he's doing is good in my opinion, even if he doesn't get airplay , if he can do what he is doing and get a decent fan base maybe other Scottish artists can , maybe one day we will get noticed again for the talent we have here.

Like the boy. Bit of a neddish following (saw him described on here once as ‘Ned Sheerin’?) but I like some of his stuff. Sometimes is a great song ??

It's the easiest thing in the world to slag the artistic efforts of others, much harder to make something credible yourself.

Having said that, all modern music is shite

Ned Sheeran is absolutely genius. Very apt.

He's played about 10 times a day on Radio X.

Regal Kingston

Music to shout “Here we, here we, Here we fecking go” to at all intervals.

Had a decent following. Fair play to him.

Me too, but I feel like I don't offer enough black or white catch all statements that don't stand up to scrutiny. I'm just trying to fit in.

The only time I hear of this nobody is on here. A weegie who sings songs about Scottish Nationalism. I'm just shocked he isn't bigger.

Each to their own.

I kinda suspect you love him becasue he is 'Scottish' rather than for him actually being any good.

Is that true? Proportionately, I reckon there's quite a lot of Scottish artists played on the radio; admittedly I don't listen to the radio a huge amount

I really didn't like him at alll, however my cousin (who follows no football, and is a total comic fan so not a NED (which should actually be UD's (uneducated Delinquents))

Or a gimp/nerd (insert offensive term here), anyway he got me to listen to him on a few occasions and I have finally came to the conclusion that 'belter' is quite a banging tune!!!

Reminds me of a Cure tune, well the guitar part. Quite good though.

There's a nod towards 'inbetween days' but musically it would be like comparing a nursery child's finger painting with a Rembrandt. ?

I saw him do “Belter” when it came in the TV during T in the Park (or whatever it’s called now) and thought it sounded OK. Listened to a few of his tunes on Spotify and it was all pretty boring.

Seems to be be a good showman who comes across a lot better live than on an album. But overall, meh.

While we are on the subject of shite music, what is the point of The 1975? They look and sound like boyband pop crap marketed as if they are cool indie.

I've never quite understood that mindset at all. I get pelters from mates because I'm not a fan of Andy Murray. They can't get their heads around the fact I don't support him "because he's Scottish".

It's all part of the narrative.

Can't have their brand of Scottish, nasal whine if they are unionists.
