But wtf was the ref thinking about disallowing Berra's goal?

Diabolical, although we were shoite. Most disillusioned I was.

It was a beautiful hit. Was hoping Smith would be subbed before it ?

The disallowed goal is just baffling.

If only there was a system of some kind where the referee could be recommended to take another look or two to ensure the correct decision...

Spot on about Berra's goal. Where's VAR when you need it? :(

Not one to generally complain about refs, but said it in the first half that Don Robertson was not gaining us much and it had to be 70:40 in our favour before we got it

The referee guessed at berras goal, plain and simple. He didnt see an infringement because there wasnt one to see.

Hopeless and could cost us a place in the next round.

Yep and a shitload of income. Awful decision - up there with the worst. New season , same shit refereeing standards it would seem. Cannae wait for Bobby Maddens first game against us

Straight as a die. :jjyay:

Disappointing to see dodgy refereeing decisions have cost us the maybe crucial point but what's more disappointing is not going out there and spanking a team like Raith senseless.

Nice goal. What was the reasoning for Berra's being chopped off? Are we now in a situation where if the goalie jumps and doesn't land on his feet a fk is given by default?

Bizarre.

Bizarre.

I assume he was at the same refereeing lesson that saw Malaury Martin booked for a Motherwell player being tripped by a Motherwell player.

The level of incompetence (being kind and not assuming the worst...) is staggering!

For some reason I thought Smith had scored for us already, but that was his first for the club. In that case congratulations are due.

Unbelievable goal, it’s almost frustrating we needed a goal that good to break them down.

Exactly what I was away to type.

Imagine needing a goal like that to get us gut the gutter against Raith.

That goal was exceptional especially amongst the dyer dross we played for most of the game.

So was that maroon dross, or grey dross, or tartan dross, Dannie?

What with gut the gutter, dyer dross, and 70-40, Kickback is going to hell in a handbasket.

A bit more fortunate with his goal against Cowdenbeath, but it's worth saying he was really good again tonight. All of a sudden he seems to be one of our most senior and reliable players, I wonder if he'll get capped again soon?

He is one of our most valuable players IMO. Has loads of stamina, determination and always looking for the overlap. He seems to be overlooked as a valuable member of the squad. I can see how he might not be the most fashionable player but he brings more than most.

I've said this before about Michael Smith, he is a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 player most games, and that is regardless of where we play him.  He's a right back, but has covered left back, centre half and midfield when called upon, and has consistently done a decent job.

Michael is massively underrated on here.

Personally i’d have him in the team every week. He’s a player that never hides , always bombs back and forward down the line and gives us a solid performance everytime. Whips in some good crosses and decent pace.
