The teaser is to let folk know that it's out on Thursday, so that those who want to can make plans to get to Tynie to pick it up. I'm sure the last couple of seasons they've had Robbo/Lockie or some other special addition to the club shop for the launch of the kit, so they open later and stay open into the evening to make a proper event of it and allow people to get there since it's a school/work day for most. There is a defined marketplace for it - Hearts fans. 99.9% of those who sees the teaser will already be interested in seeing/buying the kit when it is released. If anything, it could be argued that this approach is counter-productive with regards to the number of people planning in advance to buy the kit on Thursday. You're hardly going to make plans to buy it without seeing it, unless you are a buy any Hearts top regardless kind of person, and it seems they aren't going to release the full image until it goes on sale on Thursday morning.
