All Out Attack
Disappointing this but we have seen this type of thing before. It's a position we have to get right. McLaughlin is not going to be easy to replace.
Fraggle
Meh, a decent signing for them as he would have been for us. Lets see how the Hun hordes respond given he was one of them on their walk away list. Hopefully we can unearth another Jon Mc over the close season. Onwards and Upwards .... Musemic
This news should please Foderingham and Alnwick, both of whom have 2 more years on their contracts.
Eldar Hadzimehmedovic
Tbf would have been happy if we had signed Arfield and McGregor. Nothing to be that frightened of right enough but a couple of solid additions.
Mikey1874
Suppose this means Steven Naismith won't get booed at Ibrox next season when he plays for Hearts.
Spellczech
I see this as being King wanting a player because he could not face Hearts signing Lafferty, then Naismith then McGregor...Do they need McGregor? Not really, so let's hope they are paying him far too much!

Bauld
Couldn't care less. I'd rather have the goalkeeping position to be a long term one. He's ok but I don't think todays McGregor is anything like as good as Jon. We could do better and make it a longer term solution.

I'm not anti-English and in the absence of Scotland I've always hoped they'd do well in international tournaments. Lampard and Gerard were fixtures every time and failed every time. I've seen them made to look out of their depth and lethargic by countries like USA and Switzerland. Great club players though. Also think Gerard exaggerates his accent to be one of the people. Jean Louis Valois
Good news, not sure I could bring myself to support him. His behaviour with Barry backpass when with the national team was poor. He suits that club.
martoon
Not fussed. He'd have taken a huge bite out of our budget and has no potential sell on value. There must be someone just as capable, 6-10 years younger and more suited to our resources.

Gerrard gets asked the question, gives the go ahead manager officially or not.

Gerrard has seen how this works for years at the top English clubs. DoFs are supposed to sign players. It's their job. If we didn't do it that way then that's out problem. The way we have been told we did it was frankly stupid and has led to some of the problems we face now. Can't see the level of hypocrisy from the media you're implying. Lambo85
Regardless of what anyone says, he would have been a very good signing for us. Exactly the type of keeper that we need. I just hope that Levein can pull another McGlaughlin out the bag as I am worried about Hamilton being back between the posts for us next season. wanderer
Is that another free transfer?...If so, probably on a decent wage. I think McGregor is a decent keeper but I just don't like him. I think on a personal/dressing room level he would be more bother than he is worth. I think we will probably bring in a loan keeper. Made a big mistake not getting McLaughlin on a 2 year deal minimum, but hindsight is a wonderful thing...
