Debut 4

Hun mate just sent a pic of him with jersey.  Confirmed.

Trying to rub it in given the rumours about coming to us.

Won't be smiling when the zombies are demoted for going bust again and plying their trade in the championship.

Good. Hope they're paying him more than they can afford (like all the rest)

Disappointing this but we have seen this type of thing before.

It's a position we have to get right. McLaughlin is not going to be easy to replace.

Meh, a decent signing for them as he would have been for us. Lets see how the Hun hordes respond given he was one of them on their walk away list.

Hopefully we can unearth another Jon Mc over the close season. Onwards and Upwards ....

This news should please Foderingham and Alnwick, both of whom have 2 more years on their contracts.

Tbf would have been happy if we had signed Arfield and McGregor. Nothing to be that frightened of right enough but a couple of solid additions.

Suppose this means Steven Naismith won't get booed at Ibrox next season when he plays for Hearts.

I see this as being King wanting a player because he could not face Hearts signing Lafferty, then Naismith then McGregor...Do they need McGregor? Not really, so let's hope they are paying him far too much!

Wonder what he will do this time when he is TUPEd for a second time .........

Good, a 36yo keeper who sees castle numbskull as home.

Can go back to disliking him for his sneaky assault on Clum.

He hasn't even spoke to Gerrard yet. I'm sure the press will highlight this.

Believe it or not Rangers have a DOF. Strange that this fella never gets mentioned in the press either.

Shame, there's not an awful lot of good keepers out of contract and the ones that are, are way out of our pay grade.

Yep. Didn't even have the courtesy to either pick up the phone to Levein or return his calls.

Imagine that.

And the likes of 'Stevie-G' are happy to work under him too? Must be a great innovation then.

My thoughts also, he can stick his dead club right up his ronson lighter!

Still manically grinning. Hope we wipe the smile off him next season.

Couldn't care less.

I'd rather have the goalkeeping position to be a long term one.

He's ok but I don't think todays McGregor is anything like as good as Jon.

We could do better and make it a longer term solution.

Nor me.  I'm not anti-English and in the absence of Scotland I've always hoped they'd do well in international tournaments.

Lampard and Gerard were fixtures every time and failed every time.  I've seen them made to look out of their depth and lethargic by countries like USA and Switzerland.

Great club players though.

Also think Gerard exaggerates his accent to be one of the people.

Good news, not sure I could bring myself to support him. His behaviour with Barry backpass when with the national team was poor. He suits that club.

Not fussed.

He'd have taken a huge bite out of our budget and has no potential sell on value. There must be someone just as capable, 6-10 years younger and more suited to our resources.

Forget Barry. What about our own Callum Elliot. Total scum.

If ever a player suited a club it’s this pair.

bit like the vermin and O’Connor etc  they fit like gloves.

he will be on a fair wedge which is pleasing and do ok.

Disappointed we never got him. Will be one of the best in the league next season no doubt. Excellent keeper. True though that he comes with a lot of issues.

He does all the time.  It was even mentioned with Gerrard was appointed they would work together to sound out players.

Yes.  I’m struggling to get the point you are trying to make.

Rangers sound out two international players who will fit into their first team no problem enhancing their squad.  Gerrard gets asked the question, gives the go ahead manager officially or not.

He doesn't need to be involved officially though. Gerrard has seen how this works for years at the top English clubs. DoFs are supposed to sign players. It's their job. If we didn't do it that way then that's out problem. The way we have been told we did it was frankly stupid and has led to some of the problems we face now. Can't see the level of hypocrisy from the media you're implying.

I know he's meant to be a Hearts fan but I'm glad he's signed for them -  I'd have found it hard to warm to someone who's such a ****ing bellend.

Regardless of what anyone says, he would have been a very good signing for us. Exactly the type of keeper that we need.

I just hope that Levein can pull another McGlaughlin out the bag as I am worried about Hamilton being back between the posts for us next season.

Is that another free transfer?...If so, probably on a decent wage. I think McGregor is a decent keeper but I just don't like him. I think on a personal/dressing room level he would be more bother than he is worth. I think we will probably bring in a loan keeper. Made a big mistake not getting McLaughlin on a 2 year deal minimum, but hindsight is a wonderful thing...

Pretty poor that they have no “new” strips ready for their big signings.

Not the type of person we need though.

I think we will sign two keepers this window and Jack will go out on loan. If he refuses again he will leave.
