Footballers you can't help but like

I always liked Gazza, the silly ref card at Tynecastle, the flute for a laugh at the old firm gone wrong, even the fish supper and beer to get Raul Moaut to surrender....

At heart a good lad, but idiotic....yes.

Others, less mad.......but I liked them

Tommy Burns

Pasquale Bruno

Ivan Golac

Albertz -  Loved the aggression he played with.

Scott Brown - can't help but love him for the passion he plays with. He refuses to be dominated by anyone and can play abit too

James Forrest - love the way he plays. Not abit power but technique

Kris Commons - played with swagger but that guy could play abit. Hope we don't see him in a Hibs shirt again

Peter Crouch. Just seems like a good lad.

Always liked the way Davie Cooper played, much as I hate Rangers

I always liked Larsson, it's a shame he had to play for Celtic but he came across as a very humble guy and he was an amazing player, Celtic didn't deserve him.

Hampden Demolition

Kevin De Bruyne. The guy is a class act and I love watching him play. He has slotted in further back perfectly and is now running the City midfield rather than coming in from the wing. Leroy Sane is another one and he is only 20.

Zlatan for me! I quite like the arrogance and the fact and isn't media trained like the majority of footballers now days!

Never Let Them Forget

Leigh Griffiths he’s an idiot but a likeable one, always gets pelters but can give it back too. Cracking player.

Neymar. Even if he didn't hate Celtic I'd like him for being ridiculously good, but the way he rubs it in against them is the clincher.

Don't mind Leigh Griffiths at all, total wee dafty but cracking player and the free kicks against England...

Bazzas right boot

Griffith's- just a daft laddie who plays football, cracking player.

Brown- nope, he's a dick and also way over rated.

Gazza, Ian wright- good characters.

Strangely enough- Stuart McAll- always comes across well.

Ramos- complete welt but a winner and plays with 100% passion every game. Love his sort in my team. Turns up for the big games as well.

Puyol- respect to the guy for his views and not hiding.

Sieb Dykstra...loved the porno tache...remember our lot giving him “Siieeeeeeeeebbb” up at  Tannadice...he was having a right giggle with us. Couldn’t help but like him after that.

Neymar

Great player, fantastic attitude and will to win

A player that will fight to keep a team that is playing badly in the game

Much more to come too

David Beckham, just seemed genuinely patriotic and love playing for his country and it’s possible that I’ve been suckered in with the PR around him but lots of kids charity work too. As well as that on the pitch he could walk the walk as well.

I can't for the life of me understand how any Hearts supporter doesn't detest The Thumb. Thief, racist and Hibs yet he's now just a daft laddie???? He's not 15 FFS.

Agree about Peter Crouch though, comes across very well and doesn't take himself seriously.

Haha was at that game.  Massive Hearts support and Cameron and Jackson kept us up that night.  Don't get laughs like that in the crowd any more.

Frankie Hejduk. Never seen a player give more for the shirt--club or country.  He never stopped, always running, always defending, always flying into tackles. All while keeping an absolutely carefree, goofy approach that couldn't help but be endearing.  As part of his daily routine he'd also consume 8-10 espresso shots--hard not to end up game fit when you're constantly full of energy like that!

Good video including him drinking a pint of porter, worth muting the audio though. ;)

Seconded!

Domestically, Brian Laudrup was incredible and I couldn't help admiring Sauzee.

A bit out of left field but I always thought Keith Lasley would be my favourite player if he was at Hearts. Dirty fecker at Motherwell of course...

Andy goram- Hibs then Rangers, gross, but still the best goalkeeping display I’ve seen.

gazza- probably the best player I’ve seen in Scotland.

I like Leigh Griffiths. He's happy to have a bit of banter. A bit of an arse sometimes but harmless. Would love him in a Hearts jersey at some stage, probably when he's miles past his best though.

MCoist I found to be a good guy as a player before he turned into a celebrity and a bit of an erse.

Scott Brown. Made a lot of not a lot of talent and he'd change the losing mentality at our club from top to bottom if we signed him. He's a winner.

Very nice guy in real life . Total spanner on the pitch.

Loved the reply he gave when he was asked what he would be if he wasn't a footballer...

Салатные палочки

Historically I would say Gazza, Laudrup, Larsson, Hartson.  How many times did that lot put us to the sword but I couldn't hate them.  Three of them were just world-class players and Hartson always came accross as a decent lad.

Nowadays - I'll stick my neck out and risk ridicule but I'm going to say Jason Cummings.  Another case of a daft wee laddie that plays football and he acted like an arse when he scored v. us. But I am honestly glad he pissed off to England, he was becoming a right pain in the arse for us and he absolutely loved it.  I would love for us to have a player like that right now, one that loves playing against them and visibly loves getting it right up them and winding them up.

? Oshaniwa!

Really wanted him to do well and just quite liked the guy ?

Other than that Albertz, the Thumb and Beckham. Shouldn't like Griffiths.

I don't mind the Thumb in all hopnesty - the lad has done really well for himself.  It is not a crime to support your local team so I don't go down the "I hate him as he is a Hibee" crap.
