Hampden Demolition

Former WBA and Norwich midfielder has signed for Killie until the end of the season. Could turn out to be some signing for them. Type of player we could do with - strong and can pick a pass. Almost 250 games in England isn’t bad going!

On paper sounds like a brilliant signing, have to ask the question why he is signing for Killie in November though. Even Arry Redknapp turned down the chance to sign him :arry:

Probably hasnt played since April.

Could be a decent signing, or could be a complete Joey Barton.

Signing for Kilmarnock in the middle of November is a bit of an odd one though.  Mustn't have had any other offers!

It's called taking a punt.

Every other club in Scotland except Hearts and Celtic use this tactic.

On paper, that's a quality signing. Where do Killie get the money ? they've only got about 2,000 fans ffs.

Mulumbu would certainly 100% have improved our midfield. Poor man's Makelele.

Hearts "take a punt" more than any other club I can think of.

To the extent where I'm unsure whether or not we actually employ scouts.

we took 6 or 7 punts last January and I don't think any of them are still at the club

Our entire signing policy since the championship season could be summed up as taking a punt.

He was good at West Brom 5 or 6 years ago when I saw him at the Hawthornes. Not sure if he's any good now..

Had a two week trial first and then offered a deal to the end of the season! Let’s not carried away here.

Wish we had offered Malaury Martin a trial first though, saved us a squad number

Odd.

I thought Hearts only signed Shite.

So we are all in agreement we actually do take a punt on signings.

That's nailed that then.

36 caps for Congo too. Abit like the guy Dundee Utd bought from West Ham a few years ago (not got a good enough memory to remember his name) he should be way too good for our league

Not sure if you mean Julian Faubert, but was he not Kilmarnock aswell, not United?

I remember being confused as to how he managed to get a loan move to Real Madrid at one stage as he was absolutely tragic!

Guy Demel was the guy Utd signed the year they went down. Formerly of West Ham.

Our punts are like playing roulette and only betting on 0. Wyscout will come good at some point!

I await him playing one good game or scoring one goal and seeing a 10page thread on here bemoaning the fact we never sign these players.

A great example that no matter what Hearts do, there will always be someone ready to criticise.

Apart from Oliver Twist catching plenty the thing that this thread needs is somebody posting his sending off against West Ham. Pure comedy gold.

I would do it but tbf I can't be arsed.

Of course we use this tactic.

Point being, the "recruitment policy" lunatics have decided we sign Shite players for the fun of it. Then when other teams do exactly the same thing the same lunatics decide it's shrewd signings.

The recruitment garbage is filed in the same drawer as the eye bleeding football nonsense spouted by the supporters on here. Clueless, stupid and pointless.

Coulibaly?

If it's him he's with an Egyptian team

Thought I read on here that he is available again and I'm pretty sure Killie Mitch (good poster) raved about him.

chester copperpot

Mulumbu was very good, however, that was quite a few years ago.

He was utter horseshit at Norwich though.

Bit of a punt from Killie but coult turn out to be half decent ala Scott Sinclair as I thought the same about him!

That's you in a nutshell. I'd add angry in there as well but stupid people are generally angry so we can work with the above.

He left under a cloud and is a free agent although the club may try and kick up a stink and get a fee if he signs for someone else. Not sure if all the legal side has been sorted out yet.

He would absolutely be worth signing. As would Niall McGinn.

Ross County have just signed Chris Eagles too.

I'd really love us to sign a player, just to give us a bit of hope, but it sounds like the club don't have any spare cash and will need to get players off the wage bill before we sign anyone, so nothing is likely to happen until Jan.
