You may remember reading that my son Cohen had open heart surgery last year at 10 weeks old. Thankfully he made a full recovery and is a very active young toddler. His story is featured in the centre pages of today's Scotsman.

Martin T it must have been a nightmare going through all this. I am just so happy that your son has made a full recovery.

Hope he grows up healthy and strong as every child deserves to.

Brilliant story and result, really chuffed for you and your family.

My my brother went through the same 30 odd years ago so I get it.

Really good news, it is amazing what they can do nowadays.

Having had heart problems myself, I can say that the help and support which I received from the British Heart Foundation (BHF) was excellent, not just in hospital but also at home, where they are only a phone call away and you can talk to a cardiac nurse who will answer any questions you have or offer any advice you may need.

They also fund lots of research and that research saves lives.

Nice one, great he’s doing well.

Do you have a press agent these days?!? :pleased:

Yes I think this is the 3rd double page spread in a national newspaper in the past 4 years

How are you keeping Martin? Hope your still fighting the fight.

Thanks for asking. I'm actually pretty well, it's progressing but very slowly so far. I'm still working full-time, being a dad, socialising and going to the football like I've always done.

Excellent stuff, and good to see you're making time for yourself as well.

I have a good friend who works as a fundraiser for BHF and will send her the link.

I hope Cohen goes onto have a full and wonderful life.  Very good news story. More of these needed.
