Modern detergents. What can you do...?

I'm still the finely tuned athlete that I've always been so I can only presume its Persil's fault.

That'll be correct. Don't remember the tournament at all.

The one I had when I was young which must have been from 82 (ish) has a different shinier material. Almost like the material they used on the next seasons Alexanders shirts.

Anyone have an idea why mine is different to the flat looking material?

Still have it and also have tracksuit bottoms pictured here.

No way that's 1970

We just had a plain maroon strip then, not even a badge.

Might be the 79-82 version as stated on historical kits?

It is definitely the later one as the first ones didn't have the word Umbro written under the diamond but all the players kits up until we stopped using it had the flat looking material and in general replica kits as well.

The Alexander's strip is still my favourite, that was an ageless design. However it does give me flash backs to the smiths menswear adds in the programme at the time. Dodgy facial hair and baggy pin tucks a go-go.

My very first strip was around then. Not like the shirts of today which are too comfortable.

Mine too, came in a box, three windows, biggest had the top, then a window each for socks and shorts, looked like a subbuteo box

pomagne everywhere.

the antics on the grassy hill outside the ground before the game.

The dug getting carried out upside down ?

Carnage when Bannon scored.

On topic, I loved that white away shirt?

Used to be able to get those from TOFFS but they dont seem to do them anymore.

Got this from them last year. For £40 I wasn't impressed at all. Poor fit and the badge looks terrible.

Compare it to the one I got for £30 from Kazultra, although it's not perfect it, it looks and fits a lot better.

I think the picture is taken at Easter road. Is that not the old cow shed in the background?

It looks like it as the hobbits seem to be sitting on the benches on the left of the photo. No where else had benches then apart from Aberdeen and it is not there for sure.

Not the most flattering photo of JJ. I wonder if it's been squashed a bit.

Also a pretty difficult "spot the ball" competition , considering everyone is looking the other way.

Pretty easy if you ask me.
