Scallops. Tasteless lumps of a bogey like consistency. Can't understand the fuss at all. Beelzebub's testicles.

Say What Again

Probably not the thread for me as I'm lucky enough to be able to eat anything (and do).

Only thing I've ever eaten which I thought WTF to, was tofu.

Corn on the cob?

It leaves your body in the same condition it enters your body? It tastes of nothing and has little dietary benefit.

I'd rather eat grass.

Fish.

Never liked it, never will and certainly don't understand why its so popular.  The smell of it gives me the boak and it tastes vile.  I can't believe anyone would sit on the train on the way home from work and think "you know what, I fancy a nice bit of mackerel for dinner tonight"

Sushi is amazing food

I dare say it is, one of those things that I really want to like due to the amount of people that rave about it, but sadly it's just not to my taste.

Damn, I'd love a bit of mackerel tonight.

Mmm peppered mackerel

Absolutely love it - but it comes back on me all day

Rhubarb.

Awful.

What!

Rhubarb crumble and custard is probably the best desert going.

I hate trifle, I like everything in a trifle but together it's horrid

On a Singapore Airlines flight once and they served some type of sea cucumber - I couldn't even look at it.

Other than that - I don't like courgettes or aubergine. My mother used to eat rollmops - foul looking things.

On the other hand I grew up loathing olives - and now I can't get enough of them!

My mum used to make soused herring, which I think is kind of the same thing. :boak:

My Dad used to eat Tripe - the smell of it cooking made me boak.

Yeah, the most horrific smell. They always used to make it at family parties, when I was a kid. It always made me boak too. The most pointless food that I have eaten, is chicken feet. I've had them quite a few times now, but there's just nothing on there to eat, totally pointless.

It's supposed to be a healthier alternative to beef mince.  Turkey mince is leaner.  My mum uses turkey mince in her bolognese, took a bit of getting used to but I like it now.

That said, if I am making it myself I'll use beef mince.

I could name loads.

But I'll just use one.

Quark

I'm guessing that that's "Quorn"

I get it that veggies have to have something but why-oh-why-oh-why do they have to have it shaped and coloured like a lamb chop, a rasher of bacon or a feckin chicken breast? Shape it like a piece of cauliflower and eff off.

Anyway, my own "don't get it" is 'Pulled'. Pulled pork, pulled chicken, pulled beef (oy-oy - here comes a Kenneth Williams). Why? We've lived thousands of years eating pork, beef and chicken in various different forms. Who decided they all have to be 'pulled'? Is it Hipsters?

I bet it's hipsters. They can GRTF, the effin effers.

Or possibly like myself he hates things like cottage cheese? Pointless, taste free stuff that ismainly eaten in baked potatoes by fat office girls who've been on the same diet for ten years and haven't lost a pound.

No it's quark. Quorn I have my own issues with but quark is ****ing disgusting.

It's a cheese like substance.

I love sushi and Chinese (even with all the msg).

I'm not really a chippy lover. I hate the grease it leaves at the top of your mouth.

Agree with chip shop food and tofu. Both Rank.

I also don't get Lorne sausage. Dry in texture, pink congealed mess if not well done.

I don't think it's disgusting, I just don't get the high regard it's held in. I wouldn't buy it and it would be last on my list of breakfast rolls.

Have to agree with the Lorne sausage, I would choose bacon or link sausage any day.

Rice pudding! Awful stuff, custard as well. Another vote for tripe, my old man loved the stuff, made the house stink for days when he cooked it.
