Just asked some friends who are Liverpool fans. It appears that it's not a great player.

Not good technically. Plays at Right Back. I don't know why we pick him. We got Liam Smith but he's keen to go out on loan. I don't understand this choice.

Interesting. For all the stick he gets, B.Anderson seems to get some stories from the club, think he was first with the Smith-Brown loan?

Quite unnecessary I'd have thought.

Just when you start to think recruitment is going in the right direction.

Wouldn't be averse to him coming in as a depth on loan to act as deputy to Michael Smith.

If it allows Liam Smith to go out on loan and get regular game time then even better.

Why would Liverpool want him to come and sit on our bench?

I think we're fine in defence.

It's midfield we should be looking at...

Don't know.

I think there is very little chance of him coming here to be a first team regular though. Maybe he is going to be this seasons Moha Choulay?

Strengthen the right back position. Need two good players in each position.

However I agree with the sentiments expressed above, it's not the area of the squad we are desperately needing quality.

Cathro under fire.. Club release a transfer rumour.. I actually don't care about any more signings.. Doesn't solve the problem

a quick twitter search of his name fills me with fear.  He isnt a positiion we need for a start but some of the Liverpool fans tweets are worrying even unrelated to this transfer just some on him in general being awful !

Story I read said he'd played 8 games for Liverpool first team and was only on the losing side once. If he does lack technical ability he's coming to the perfect league up here.

Why on earth would we sign another right back on loan?

Another case of a scattergun signing policy I fear.

Sounds like we'd be better off with Randall from recess.

Not had any decent grass patter since the days of McCabe/McPake

After a spot of reading I wonder if we see him as a Calum Paterson type who might be a right back by name but has the ability to go into almost any position.

Maybe we think we can convert him into a full time midfielder. A position he has played before.

Jambo, Goodbye

Article says he can play midfield. Must surely be for there.

Captain America

Don't understand the need to bring in a RB on loan as we currently have

M Smith

L Smith

Brandon

who can play RB. Plus I'm sure when Smith-Brown was signed it was reported he can play either flank.

Standards at Liverpool are on a different stratosphere to here. If he couldn't cut it there doesn't mean he won't here.

He's not going to be awful if he's made it all the way through Liverpool's academy.

So did Ngoo and he wasn't any great shakes. Decent debut though tbf.

Liverpool have some class youth players but if this boy is

A: half decent at least, and

B: able to play in midfield, in a role which is needed, then maybe it'll work out.

We're clearly struggling to find the right players to sign permanently for one or two specific roles.

You seen him play?

Of course I have, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to say he was fairly poor

Conor Randall will never make it at Liverpool file under Michael Mgoo.

It's a new goal keeper we need! Then the midfield needs addressed. If he's just coming in to beef up the squad and give us more depth and cover then fair enough. But for god sakes please Cathro find a decent keeper like yesterday and get Hamilton out on loan pronto!

I would've hoped we'd learned our lesson from short term loans after last season. Surely we'd be better off giving one of our own youngsters the chance to step up instead.

Did any of the people screaming that we should be signing midfield players bother to read the article where it clearly says -

The 21-year-old is able to play in defence and midfield
