People predictting a win at Easter Road are living in dreamland.

I am seriously worried about this season. Not just about getting beat by Hibs but after the first 11 games we could be very close to the bottom of the league if we still have Cathro in charge.

Based on Cathro still being here;

Celtic 5-0 loss (away) :

Kilmarnock 1-1 (away) :

Rangers 2-0 loss (away) :

Motherwell 1-2 loss (away) :

Aberdeen 2-0 loss (away) :

Hamilton 1-1 (away) :

Partick Thistle 1-1 (home) :

Dundee 0-1 loss (away) :

Ross County 2-1 loss (away) :

St Johnstone 1-1 (home) :

Hibs 2-0 loss (away) :

Predicting these is difficult. If we have the muppet still in charge I can see us losing the majority except for one or two at home (Partick and maybe st Johnstone). No chance of winning an away game absolutely zero. So maybe 4 or 6 points out of 33

Get rid of him then it's a totally different ball game.

To save time and a lot of pissing about putting in scores I will just say we will get a couple of draws and maybe one win if Cathro is still in charge.

So 5 points out of a potential 33.

So far we have been unconvincing against Elgin/East Fife and Peterhead. I think we will struggle to break down and beat Dunfermline and the air of frustration and negativity around Cathro will grow and grow. Celtic are light years ahead of us and the rest of the SPFL and I can't see us laying a glove on them. They are always up for it when they play us so can't see us getting anything from that. After a heavy defeat the air of frustration will grow and grow until Cathro is gone so I honestly can't see us winning any games under him. We are awful away from home, I've seen nothing from us to suggest we are gonna turn this round. Partick, Motherwell and Hibs I have saw and they look better than us on and off the field. I think saint Johnston have a better manager and he knows how to get more out his squad than our manager so can't see us getting near any of them. Rangers are Rangers and will beat us at Ibrox as we always bottle it there. Aberdeen are also miles ahead of us in terms of players, manager and squad. A very tough start to the season.

You always have to be optimistic when we play hibs even though our recent performances against have be absolute gash. This arrogance has helped us gain a massive advantage previously so what's changed. Is it Cathro or Levein or a combination of them both?

Light at the end of the tunnel :toff:

I remember when predictions were restricted to 4/5.

Too many factors still in play to hazard a guess??

New signings?

Dare I say "change of Management!"

Still trying to recover from losing to a 4th tier team last night

Away form not helping the cause considering our "revised" fixture list.

On the bright side, if BIG IF, we get off to a decent start, we have a strong set of fixtures to follow.

OK, being the eternal optimist 15+ points, mid table....away to look out my hard hat :builder2:

4 points: Partick win at home, and Dundee draw away, Cathro still in charge, having a better squad wont make a farting difference to the results but we will make lovely we triangle passes in the middle, and until somebody makes a mistake and we lose, Cathro will be pleased with the performance oblivious that this is a result driven animal

This thread is incredibly grim reading. I think with our first choice central defense available and a new goalkeeper it will be significantly different. all ifs, buts and maybes though and the first league game is just around the corner. last night was a disgrace and there is no way to spin it otherwise. The only positive is that it is a timely reminder of what we so desperately lack. Hopefully the coaching staff and Levein are working even harder to secure what we need.

I don't even think Cathro can lose to Hibs at Tynie.

Celtic 3-1 Hearts.

Kilmarnock 0-0 Hearts.

Rangers 1-1 Hearts.

Motherwell 1-2 Hearts.

Hearts 2-2 Aberdeen.

Hamilton 1-3 Hearts.

Hearts 2-0 Partick.

Dundee 2-1 Hearts.

Ross County 3-1 Hearts.

Hearts 2-1 St Johnstone.

Hibs 1-0 Hearts.

I'm maybe a bit optimistic but I'm going for 15 points out of a possible 33,I'm praying for somewhere between 20-30 points.

Prove us all wrong Cathro and you players.

I'm sure we'll actually pick up a draw or two, or maybe even a win in one of the home games.  But for any individual game on that list, I think a defeat is the most likely result with current management in charge.
