Seen this already, well done the police, wee scroats. If I saw film of my son behaving like that I'd boot his bawz.

Aii totally fine and professional.

Over the top imo although kids far from innocent.

Police apparently responding to an emergency call of suspected assault by a guy on a female at the time.

Deserved what they got. Little *******s. Police have enough to do without having to teach kids respect.

Dagger Is Back

Difficult to take a properly informed view without seeing the whole picture. Seems a bit heavy handed based on what's shown but without knowing the context....

Like every job, there are good and bad. No doubt that some police are nothing more than thugs in uniform

The parents of those kids probably spend half there days sparked out on smack & couldn't care less about what their kids get up to.

Never Let Them Forget

Well done the police. As someone has already said the police have far more other issues to worry about than kids being idiots.

I think you will find most of them come from nice families with parents who havent ever disciplined them properly therefore they have no respect for authority.

Wee *****.

Spot on. The entitled 'I know my rights' generation who've never been told no and believe they can act without consequence. Little turds.

Kids nowadays are well clued up on their rights. Unfortunately they haven't bothered learning about their responsibilities.

Bang on.

To many modern parents believe it to be a crime to say no and discipline their children. Many believe the word discipline as been expunged from the dictionary.

Many parents struggle with the modern day laws which pretty much prevent or frighten parents from properly disciplining their children.

As for other kids. I wouldn't even dream of telling off someone else's now after a bad experience on holiday one time. I saw a kid throwing punches at another for no apparent reason thus i split them up and told them off. One taddled off and next thing you know a half pished mother and hotel security where round me having a go. Thankfully, hotel security exonerated me.

Top policing there. Those of you saying their light handed approach was too heavy are part of the problem.

Unfortunately that officer will be disciplined, you cannot put your hands on a child unless protecting life or property, which was not the case here.

Although it was good to watch

Say What Again

Only had to watch the first 10 seconds before I wanted the police to draw their batons and get laid into the little ****ers.

Must be shite being a copper these days. Folk filming you and abusing you while telling you if you lay a finger on their shoulder they're doing you for assault.

Bring back getting the shit kicked out of you in the cells.... sorry, walking into a door.... 70s style for me.

Most decent folk would have no reason to be have their ***** kicked in while In a cell in Gayfield Square.

Guy I know was having a kickabout with his son, who was probably around 8 at the time, down Craigentinny on the wee football pitch.

5/6 laddies, he reckons about 12 years old, turned up and told them they wanted the pitch and they were to **** off. Boy told them to go use the goals at the other end and he'd stay at this end with his laddie.

One of the kids pulled a phone out and told him if he didn't leave he was going to call the polis and tell them he groped him and his mates were witnesses.

Boy picked up the ball and left.

I would not have moved and told the little torag to get on with it.

Is it just me or do shrieking lassies always make a situation like that worse.

.

Its a modern thing lassies shrieking as loud as they can. Hen parties are the worst. Gets right on my tits.

Give an inch to these little *******s and they'll take a mile. Had to be heavy handed to stop a more serious situation in my opinion.

If that had been my laddie, he would've been getting a further booting when he got home.

Police did nothing wrong there IMO

The rugby tackle on the kid is ****ing amazing. Little middle class shits. It's ok to kick a copper in the head but when he restrains you the waterworks are turned on.

The police officer charging in and shoving the boy was a bit daft.

Turned an in control situation into one that wasn't.

I don't believe I've ever read or heard that anywhere. Any force has to be proportionate. An 11 year old with a knife is still someone with a knife. If the cops can justify it fair do's. If not they're in the cack and rightly so but, in my experience these videos only start after the punters filming them have done something.

What clip were you watching?

The one I was watching shows the first actual physical contact by an officer on a child, there were then a few other "pushes" as the scene developed, mostly by the police but, in fairness there was a bit of kicking by the kids on the officer who had someone on the ground, you have to ask your self how it got to that point though.

Go push a police officer and see what happens.

Your experience of an incident happening before the clip being shot is assumption only.

Btw I thought it was great and I bet most police would love to be able to slap one of these cretins ....just not right though these days. What was he thinking, he knew there was a phone on him

Why we're the re-enforcements arriving? What had happened before they arrived? The group were far too close to the cops for the officers safety Again IMO. There's always a phone on them these days

That's my point dude. Folk are going on about this like the cops steamed in to a nursery at piece time.

If my daughter was is in a coppers face or kicking cops on the ground then hell mend her. I was no angel as a nipper but when the coppers turned up I shut my yap and kept me fingers crossed.
