Informed before Berra came in, won't play regularly and club won't stand in his way.

Can't say I'm disappointed he's going. Another who came with a pedigree and the Heather just didn't light. Must have some targets lined up to replace (hopefully...)

I think this was clear the way Ian Cathro spoke about the importance of Berra and Cowie's leadership qualities next season and didn't mention Perry.

Shame. When he applied himself he was excellent.

Sadly most of the time he seemed to be going through the motions.

If he leaves I wish him well.

Onto bigger things Hearts.

Had all the attributes to be a successful player for us, but just never happened due to a number of reasons. Can't fault his attitude and commitment when wearing the strip, unlike a few other recent acquisitions, so wish him all the best.

Good news, good luck to Perry but just not good enough, it's clear we will have a new team next season thankfully

I thought he would leave as I couldn't see him wanting to sit on the sidelines.

Had some good games in a Hearts shirt and was one player I would never accuse of being uncommitted or not caring.

He'll be a good player for someone.

All the best Perry and good luck.

There is a player in there but a leader there is not. We ****ed up by making him one.

He's rubbish, I called it early to be fair to myself, such a limited player that he's absolutely useless for us.

Whilst not the most gifted player I always liked him and seems like a good guy! Best of luck to him.

No hard feelings with this one. Regardless of how you rated him always conducted himself well. Particularly off the park.

I actually think he could be decent in a settled team. With more creative players in front of him.

He's perhaps not as aggressive as we'd like but he has his place in a particular system. It's just obviously not what we are going to be running with.

Anyone buy one of those 'Captain America' t-shirts? That'll be a proper obscure collectors item in the future

That'll be the best news of the transfer window for me.

All roads lead to Gorgie

I liked his commitment but he wasn't really a tackler and his passing was usually too safe and predictable. Maybe with a dominant defence behind him and a touch of creatability beside him in a deeper role he may have shone more. He will probably get offers from lower level teams down south or somewhere else in Europe but I think a return to the states is more likely. Best of luck to him.

I think he's been hard done by.

Cathro's spent a lot of time talking about a pressing game. Other than Cowie, Kitchen's the only current player who presses.

I don't think Cathro's given him a fair crack of the whip.

Especially when you consider the game time given to Tzoilis and Djoum to prove themselves.

I'm clearly in the minority but I'm a bit disappointed. I don't think he ever got a clear indication of what his role in the side actually was. Only my opinion but seems like another that suffered due to a lack of direction.

I honestly believe I play with better footballers at 5s.

He's just not got enough natural talent.

It's a shame but good for all parties if he moves on.

It's amazing how many average players manage to make a career from this game.

He wasnt a terrible player, but he was the least adventurous midfielder I've watched for a long time.  Never probing, never looking to cut the defence open, never looking for the ball into the strikers feet...always sideways or backwards (which is fine if it is to keep possession, but is NOT fine when it is just taking an easy way out).

I think he has something though, and hopefully he can go on and develop somewhere else.

That's how I see it too. Realistically probably never good enough technically to play for Cathro's team, so probably no amount of game time would have fixed it, but I think he can count himself a bit unfairly treated.

Definitely doesn't deserve a good riddance. I wish him nothing but the best.

A lot of huddies are leaving but Perry isn't one of them. He was brought in as a DM and did the job quite well without being a world beater.

Cheers Perry thanks and good luck with your next gig

Also agree.

Brave by Cathro, since he's came in he's not been afraid of changing things and dropping/ moving players on.

He has a plan, a vision.

By Christ it better come together.

I think we'll either have the best season ever or completely tank.

Could not put it better myself.  Somehow I quite liked him but he always played the percentage game. He did however put effort in and he was almost obsessive in winning back the ball when he lost it.

Very weird player. Always thought he should be much better than he was. To be honest we haven't really played well since he arrived, although I'm not sure all the blame lies with him! He certainly didn't;t push us to greater heights anyhow.

I've watched Kitchen his entire professional career. He's a very good defensive midfielder that adapted to the team easily last spring when he arrived. Watched him at Tynecastle play a great game when Hearts beat Aberdeen last spring to secure the European spot.

He'll fit in with most teams that want a dedicated #6. Not flashy, but works hard and plays smart. Doesn't get pulled out of position. He isn't going to hit a killer through ball, but he's a good player to have on a team. Can play with another CM as a double pivot or ideally as a lone CDM.

Honestly one of the better players on this team currently IMO with plenty of upside. The terrible Hearts form since January coincided with his time on the bench. Not unexpected.

Also mind-blowing that Cathro didn't try him at CB as he has experience there...would have been great in a back 3 compared to the alternatives.

Oh well.

He's not a current international and who knows what German teams were interested in him, Oshiniwa, Rherras, Tzolis,Alvonitis, Struna and Sammon are internationals but not worth a lot I'm afraid. Glad he's going as he's extremely poor at most things a midfielder should be capable of.

Oh well.

He played in loads of games since January, including four cup games against lower league teams with poor results. He played in 29 league games.

He maybe should've been tried at CB but the manager likes players who can pass the ball.

We can keep an eye on him in the future to see how he gets on.

Never understood why he was dropped by Cathro always felt he gave 100% I suspect the manager had to justify his January signings
