Of course we're trying to improve the way we play but there's many ways to build a good team. We also need to have the fundamentals. That's where we are just now imo...We need proper defenders just now til we get to a stage we can find younger, more competent all round defenders or bring them through from the academy. Let's concentrate on Souttar and Smith and let them play with confidence knowing they have good pros around them. I think that explains why he maybe didn't do so well there. Certainly looked okay in the last world cup. Better than ALL the current options at full back.
