Wouldn't risk him until he's 100%. Never ends well bringing players back too soon. Desperately missed him, was hitting form when he got injured and our squad has desperately lacked width since

He's not fancied.

By who? - The management can't have seen him train properly let alone play?

And you know this how!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another ITKer got save us all.

Wait and see. It's hardly surprising given the rotating door policy we've had for 3 years.

It is hardly going to be a surprise if Nicholson leaves. He is out of contract soon and appears not to be signing a new one.

You have no idea who the new management fancy or don't fancy do you? I would doubt they have had time themselves to make their minds up on all the players let alone ones who aren't fit and training.

Stop being silly. Every single minute of football is on DVD. We've released Ozturk and sold Rossi.

Difference in those 2 is the head coach saw them play and train

They haven't with Nicholson

So your saying our management don't fancy him on the basis of what they have seen on TV (which seems highly unlikely to me, but maybe you have inside sources?)

Then you are saying we are operating a revolving door policy, so if I am understanding you right, it's not about the new management at all, or what they have seen on TV, it some longer term policy which is that we get rid of players whether they are good or not, just because it's a policy?

Which one is it? Or do you mean those higher than the Head coach have been watching Sam on TV and have told the Head coach to do it?

I'm confused!

The management at the club. It's hardly a bizarre statement.

You Ian and Austin best pals iiiii. What a ridiculous statement. He might not sign a new contract but there is no way they don't want to have him in the team currently.

Don't forget Levein may have a degree of influence too.

If any of this is true, if he is not signing a new contract he is off in a few months, it's not a big leap to imagine we are trying to get rid now for a few quid

This guys fun.  Can we keep him???  Pweeeeese

Nicholson is a top player.  Unless he had attitude problems, which would have to have developed pretty recently cos I've only ever eard good about the kid, he's rated all right.

Three things:

He fits into the type of game we all think Cathro wants - quick, technical, clever, good football brain, works hard.

If (big if) he isn't rated, that'll be by Levein. Silly to believe he doesn't have input.  Be a worry, but not one worth worrying about seeing as it's nonsense!

If (BIG IF) he isn't rated, Tonton Z has got lucky with a wild guess

You've never seen him play, certainly cos you've never been to a game in your life.  Did you know that?

You know what being silly is? Pretending to know who our new management team do and don't fancy and posting it online as fact.

Everybody knows there is a good chance Nicholson is leaving you don't have to be ITK to predict that.

There have been rumours for a while Burton Albion are trying to sign Nicholson maybe not the greatest club but still English Championship.

Why is it a worry

He's been injured since they've arrived

If they form an opinion from a DVD then I would be disappointed

But of course they haven't

You're just talking pish

The Apprentice

I thought the latest on Nicholson was that he rejected a new contract? There was definitely something in the EEN saying something along those lines.

Seems strange that the management team don't fancy him yet there is a contract offer on the table!

El Facto, as they say in Spain. I think.

So what you think, we keeping this one?

At least until we figure out if he is a Hibs trumpet elated at consolidating their place as top team in the swamp leagues, or if he is one of our own and just a bit soft in the head.

Bazzas right boot

What a bizarre statement

Not fancied by who?

It is, but he hasn't signed a new contract. either he's stalling or the club are.

50/50 chance of being correct.

I would have thought Levein would have gotten the situation sorted earlier if Sam was staying.

Hopefully we get it sorted soon.

Sorry Tosh, but there is not even a tiny chance that Nicholson is "not fancied" by the management.

Cheers, just find it strange he's not signed, would indicate Sam isn't happy then?

The not fancied part is ludicrous. If he wasn't fancied as a player, I'd actually be very concerned about our management.

Just a guess, but I suspect Sam is currently doing exactly what Paterson was doing before his injury; running down his contract to win a move elsewhere without an off putting price tag.

I'd very much doubt he's not fancied. As far as I'm aware hes had his mind set on a move same as CP. New pastures etc. Nothing untoward.

Craig Levein certainly rates Sam..

I doubt if Cathro will have seen enough of the player to make such an informed judgement....unless it's not Sams ability he doesn't care for.

If Sam has indicated he wishes to play his football elsewhere then of course Cathro won't 'fancy him'.

If Sam is adamant he isn't staying and we get an adequate replacement in this month then his game time should be limited to say the least.

Hibs loser comes on here, drops a piece of nonsense, and we end up going round in circles all over again.

And nobody on here truly knows what is happening behind the scenes.

Ok ... if thats what you call the payment to the player for joining on a short term but lucrative contract

A 3 month contract worth almost 100k to him I heard yesterday.

Nothing to do with Sam Nicholson though, thought I was in the Rossi thread. Oops.
