Another crackin article...

This and Ewan Murray's article yesterday - I wouldn't expect to see any comeback from Boyd and Craigan - way out of their depth in the journalism world.

When Kilmarnock and BT Sports turn up at Tynecastle, I hope we extend them both a warm welcome to the "New World"

I think it's time they stopped writing about it now. Ewan Murrays article was excellent and it really said it all. We're now getting the same stuff regurgitated and it all just puts unneeded pressure on Cathro.

Time for the talking and writing to stop and let's see what they've got. An exciting appointment and we all have high hopes that this is the new dawn and real challenge for honours but let's remember in all the pish and wind that's been spouted there remains a degree of truth in the fact it is his first job as the number 1.

We as a support have to give him 100% support but remember he's new to this role and he'll no doubt make mistakes.

His target has to be to get the level of performance out the team that we saw against Rangers on a consistent basis and to improve the indifferent away performances...that would be progress for this season IMO.

This time from The Telegraph. It's great to see folk with half a brain lining up to slate the likes of Boyd, Craigan etc. Loving the line here about Cathros 'inability' to kick a baw. Not even once...

Kind of agree with this. Those who know him say he won't be fussed in the slightest but at the same time, this level of media attention would probably be daunting to someone who had been in the job for years, never mind someone new to the job and new to Scottish football in many ways. That said, it's only the day after their first press conference so there's bound to be interest. Hopefully, by tomorrow, something else will have happened and everyone will have other things to talk about instead, then Cathro and MacPhee can get on with doing the job without all the added scrutiny.

It has all been very interesting though. What a mental couple of days.

Every single football manager since the game began got their first job somewhere. I've never seen this much $#!t spouted before. Scottish football and its sportswriters (most) at their very best (lowest)

My guess is, after the chaos of yesterday and the days that preceded it, Cathro will be fully focussed on the training ground and Saturday's game, he made is points yesterday, move on
