Just a heads up for any horse racing punters, Henry Smith is down to run in 19.00 race at Musselburgh tomorrow night. Likely to start as favourite, hasn't run since July but is seeking 3rd consecutive win.

Love Henry. Its great to see he's made a career for himself after football. Surprised its as a horse, but the worlds changing all the time.

He's a clever guy who can multi task because as well being a racehorse he is also a postie in Linlithgow.

Not to mention his hospitality appearances occasionally as well where maybe one day he will appear as a horse.

Neigh way.

Sorry

Only Hearts related horse that had done quite well in his last few races.

Who said men can't multi-task he sometimes delivered my mail on a Saturday, gentleman and a real Jambo.

Aye, think it's won or placed its last 5 races now. I've been backing it right from the start. Remember it's first run being a shambles.

Cool, not a big racing fan, I usually give my money away on the football coupons. Need to keep my eye open on those two however.

Some other tenuous ones kicking around. King Heart won the other day. We are the people owned by some boy called Barton got stuffed!

Hibiscus just won at the Curragh 5/1 ironically :) in the 1.55. Bit of poetic licence but I know that they love poetry

Only a tenuous link here but when I was home recently, Roudee(sp) won at 16/1, I think it was. I was in the Mill at the time and a bunch of mostly Hearts' guys, myself included, commented on it prior to the race then proceeded to sit on our dokes and watch it come in. :(

Also, since I've been back, I noticed it won again the other week, this time at 20's. (maybe the Curragh)

Roudee won Silver Cup at Ayr on Saturday, had ?10 each way at 20 to 1.

Good on you! I wasn't sure which track it was.

2/3 on my treble. Becca Campbell winning the 4.40 at Brighton. Tyrannical decided not to bother racing the final 2f when right in the mix in the 4.30. Oh well. Few quid back on the Henry single.

I once spilt a glad of coke on Henry Smith when I was 6, in the players lounge at the Eos cup final. He joked with me that id never be a goalie and I bust into tears cos he was my hero and all I wanted to be was a goalie at that point.

Wish he'd been a horse then, it'd have wiped off much easier than from his tin flute and white shirt that night. Also don't think I'd have minded if he'd japed, "you'll never be a racehorse".

He was a guest at our POTY dance in Whitburn one year along with Jim Hamilton and Neil McCann...... took some slagging coming back from the bar with a tray of drinks... "watch you don't drop that, Henry!!!"

Piece of ***** who, that thought it was below him to clean the shelves and glasses in the Diggers, when he was supposedly learning the trade there.

Very arrogant man, unlike Jim Cruikshank who along with Dave Clunie worked in Oliver's in rose Street, Jim, learning the trade.

Good guys, who won nothing with Hearts, er, Henry didn't either did he ? Though he did gift an Italian(?) team in the second half at Tynecastle

Still seething about the 1988 cup semi?
