Winning the next three games is vital

As it says on the tin! Must wins in the next three games if we are to keep up with the top of the league. Once we slip down the league it will be all the harder to fight our way back up. Yes it's early days, but unless we start winning and show some intent, then it will be harder to intimidate teams around us.

We'll take points from the next few games because we're playing shite teams. Now that the crunch games have been wasted, we'll do enough to keep ourselves 3rd/4th/5th.

We've got two of the toughest fixtures out of the way.

Our record against Inverness is pretty poor but I'd fancy us to get the three points at home and I'd like to think we could go on to take another six points from Partick (A) and Hamilton (H). Aberdeen (who will be our nearest competitors IMO) have to travel to Celtic during this three game spell so all going well we could be a couple of points ahead of them this time next month.

If we'd got something out of the Celtic match, 7 points would have been acceptable. Need 3 wins out of the next 3 games now.

We will be lucky to take 2 draws from the next 3 games ,

the problems we have with the team, style, motivation, formation and tactics are about to be shown bare against ict and partick.

Disappointed if we don't take the full 9 points.

We wont beat Partick away. I doubt if we'll have a serious go at beating them

The other 6 points are an absolute must IMO.

Celtic also have Rangers in this 3 game period and I would expect them to drop points to either Aberdeen or Rangers.

We win our next three and be on ten points with Rangers and Celtic (albeit they will have a game in hand) about the same, middle of September will look much better

I think we're about to come into a bit of form at the right time. Our strikers are getting up to speed and I think when Watt gets his first the floodgates will open. Kitchen coming back into midfield is a major boost and while we are a few weeks away from being settled defensively having Kitchen back will help provide cover and the clean sheet at pittodrie was encouraging. We need our full backs to find their form and I would like to see us bringing in a left footed wide man this week. Walker will miss the Inverness game but will be back for Partick and hopefully Hamilton. With any luck FIFA will give us clearance for Johnsen this week too, which will add to our attacking options.

Don't really get the negativity on here, good times are coming.

The arse rag that is our local paper took great delight in calling our game on Saturday a bottom of the table clash.

Wankers and the sooner they go down the shitter the better.

Sadly it's true!

It is posts such as that which show the level of knowledge we suffer. 4 0 but we won't have a go

Two of them were penalties though - set piece specialists! Boooo!

The next three games will show us if we are capable of taking the game to these teams and showing our better quality, or proving we have better quality.

No excuses now. Many fans will still like to give it the apprehensive approach, say we shouldn't just expect to win...bull.

If we are what many say we are going to be in the near future then Hearts need to show it sooner rather than later.

Robbie was right to point out that we have played 3 of our hardest games of the season in Celtic at home, Aberdeen and St J away and could easily have won all of them.

A lack of cutting edge is holding us back. If Watt in particular hadn't missed a couple of sitters no-one would be talking like this. We need our strikers to start taking their chances. If not, then we'll be in trouble.

Juanma looks like a goner, but I'll be amazed if all 4 of Muirhead, Sammon, Watt and Johnsson fail to start hitting the net reasonably regularly.

If the players were to be given a free reign then yes, they could win all three.

Robbie holds them back imo.

I am with you mate,

Im on the fence with Robbie, leaning towards out but i feel he can turn it round.

Comfortable win on Saturday to start us on a good run of form

What would be acceptable? I agree that 9pts should be the goal however some are saying 7 therefore would 5 be unacceptable? 1 win & 2 draws but no losses!

In the grand scheme of the season I never consider the first 5-10 games as absolute deciders. Most teams need that time to organise the new arrivals and sometimes new signings are still coming in.

Usually the team that is organised and hits the ground running after that period catches the top team quite easily and goes on to win the league or at least 2nd.

Must win next two home games to keep the wolves from the door. Can see a draw at Partick maximum.

What makes you think this?

So we're already approaching the city limits of Mustwingamesville?

Naw. That's just yet more unhelpful pressure and expectation being laid as groundwork to use against Neilson if we drop something. The utter cretins continuing this campaign are not helping the club. You're hell bent on harming it.

Where I'm at too. Liking what I've seen of our attacking force so far (especially if we keep Muirhead in place of Nicholson on the left wing). The goals will come and I don't care if they are from open play or set pieces.

At least 16-20 wins and no more than around 10 defeats should see us get third minimum. If Robbie keeps up his win rate as Hearts manager to date we'll be up there in 3rd and even pushing for second.

Good grief.

How is thinking the head coach won't be up to the required standard going forward make you hell bent on damaging the club? You make Trump sound measured.

Anything less than 9 should be unacceptable to all at the club, fans, management, players and board.

ICT

Partick Thistle

Hamilton

Since when did it become acceptable for Heart of Midlothian FC to drop (or expect to drop) points to these teams?

What possible good can come of demanding must win games in the 3rd week of the season? Do you people not think for a second that the club might already be striving for wins? Do you think the concept of winning games has incredibly passed Neilson by?

This is all about cornering Neilson into the sack and the anti-Neilson gang know it. Those with the club's interest at heart will not place demands on him that he might not match. They'll just continue to support the club.

5 is the minimum acceptable if we want to be anything other than average.

6 is pretty decent.

7 is a great result.

No wonder folk have meltdowns when they demand 100% record or else.

We will probably take a minimum of 7 points out of the next three games. Robbie doesn't have too many issues getting results in run of the mill fixtures. I predict we will get some decent results out of the next games and then lose away to ST Johnstone.

The posters on here that readily accept us not challenging for anything will be happy because we have had results against ICT, Partick and Hamilton.

The posters that expect more from Hearts will give Robbie stick for losing another relatively big game against ST J.

If all this comes to pass you should apply for mystic Megs day job. Keep dusting that crystal ball just in case.

On paper the next three games are extremely winnable, but the St Johnstone game will be tougher.
