Juanma

I heard today that he is training with the under 20s. I didn't think there was a future for him at Tynecastle.

Not sure if something has happened or if this is Leveins way of sickening him so he will maybe tear his contract up.

Before anyone starts saying I'm talking shite, I'm just posting what I've been told guys.

It's on the summer transfer ins/out thread.

Couple of people have mentioned it now. I'm told he's getting papped back to Spain.

Even a loan back to spain would suit better surely?

I rate juanma as similar standard to sammon but sammon wont fall over and argue with refs constantly.

Really thought juanma would up his game but he's just a lazy *****.

Signing of Bjorn sealed his fate, he's a goner. Had a chance to solidify his role as main striker during pre season, but clearly hasn't impressed. Either that, or he feels lost without Pallardo.

Enlighten us?

Top goal scorer last season regardless of what anyone thinks of him and he's just been completely frozen out

The way he's been treated is shocking. Should be starting over Sammon

He is a much better footballer than Sammon IMO. But I think the reason he started on Europe was maturity, or his lack of. Could've imagined him picking up bookings or a red card.

He was out with the rest of the first team squad for lunch today at Ratho. This is as ITK as I get.

Heard he was sitting at a wee kids' table on his own on a high chair though

His attitude and antics rolling about the ground are pathetic....he isnt a wee boy so if he hasnt learned in his mid 20's to buckle down and man up he never will...

Was it McSwegan Levein papped out the door in similar fashion back in the day?

Yep - McSwegan was ragin' but was gone shortly after

Levein knows how to give the bums rush message

Also had a couple of the young guys ?Glen running up and down the stands carrying golf clubs for some infraction IIRC

Good. He would have been frozen out by me in December past. Only problem here is the shocking example to our Under 20s

I agree. I would say he is better than Sammon, and Sow aside, was our best forward last season, quite comfortably, and the best we have had for a few seasons, and that is despite his obvious faults.

People will literally try and use everything the management does as a stick to beat them with, laughable.

Graham Weir I think. Asked him to take his clubs in the rest of the team would be interested to see them. Weir obliged and ran up and down the Wheatfield to the laughter of his team mates, so the story goes

Indeed but I still find it amazing if it was so hot the players were throwing up that out of the two striking options, we choose the ginger irishman over the Spanish guy. Just an observation but the one that's grown up in those temperatures may not have thrown up!!

And Scrabble - found an article on it:

Two Hearts players have been ordered to train while carrying their golf clubs after breaching club rules.

Youngsters Graham Weir and Neil Janczyk were caught (wait for it) on the golf course 24 hours before a friendly game with Hibs.

Ooh the shame of it.

Not content with fining the pair and making them drag their bags up and down the stands at Tynecastle, Hearts boss Craig Levein decided to take matters further.

As a result Weir, 20, and Janczyk, 21, must take their woods and irons to training every day and keep hold of them as they pound the running track.

Levein has graciously allowed the duo to lose the bags when they're playing five-a-side, but if they forget to turn up with them in the mornings, they will incur further punishment.

As a result of the tough stance taken against them, Weir and Janczyk have come in for a fair amount of mickey-taking from their team-mates.

But Levein says they only have themselves to blame after committing exactly the same 'offence' last season.

"They were warned and stupidly decided they could get away with it," he said.

Maybe he misheard and thought they'd been out clubbing.

Sammon has only played 4 games and as Derek Mcinnes points out the players are not up to full speed during these games.

Sammon needs game time confidence and balls going beyond a back 4. The back 4s we have played so far have been practically sitting on the goalies. I think he will prosper away from Tynecastle. ...for Hearts I hasten to add.

They have been the mistakes of the largest scale. Everything else has been manageable Augustyn for example. I have faith Cowie will play a key support role and be invaluable behind the scenes

Juanma showed on a few occasions that he's deadly with the right service.

We just weren't interested in giving him that service.

Cowie might be a good support player, however if he one if the highe earners it's an utter waste of resources.

If he is earning below the average wage in the squad then he is a reasonable acquisition.

He's definitely worth a second season. 12 league goals is not a bad return for his first season. I find him a very frustrating player but that's something that the management can work on with him.

His appreciation of the offside rule is, well nil. Yes he's scored goals however his antics and constant whinging couple with his inability to stay onside makes him expendable.

12 goals for the team finishing third in the league whilst playing as their main striker isn't a very good return. Perhaps by recent Hearts standard but not should we have aspirations of anything more than big standard third place.

He's very good at times.

But the amount of times he's caught offside is laughable and his antics from rolling around on the floor to moaning thus getting a yellow make him too much of a frustration.

He's the type of forward that you need to give him the exact type of pass he wants and we haven't been doing that. A bit like when we had Pospisil. He was deadly with low balls across the 6 yard box but we never gave home them.

I think the writing is on the wall for him with the amount of strikers we've brought in,but making him train with the under 20's to sicken him is poor if true.

I'd get it if he'd done something wrong, but to just exclude someone because you want to move them on is unprofessional. Wonder how it's going down with the other players.

I think we should concentrate on our new players and empty Granmaw. Sammon hasn't started well but he could show a bit if improvement. Watt and Johnsen are exciting prospects. The likes of Muirhead will get more game time uf Juanma becomes history.

Bye. Cheerio.

I like him but after Christmas the message hadn't been received about his work rate and antics then it was clear he was never going to change.

Shame as he is a decent player as well and I rate higher than Sammon..... but he's had his chance.

As you say if it's true. If it is then perhaps he's chucked the toys out the pram now we have at least 3 strikers potentially ahead of him?

Tbh if he's going and it free's up a wage for an attacking midfielder then I'll not be shedding any tears.

Captain America

He clearly has the talent but his antics plus his inability to stay onside has put him down the pecking order in my opinion.

Don't think he should be frozen out and made to train with U-20s to make him leave though.
