First away game of the season so always going to go but i'm intrigued to see what away games are like this season there has to be a major improvement on last seasons performances. Also do we charge Aberdeen more than they charge us? Looking at paying out 45 quid for this

I think we charge them ?28, but then their fans' travel costs are less as they only have to come from the Central Belt...

Yep.

Three times I came to Tynecastle and was ?28 each time.

I think you do get for ?25 if you take the bottom section

Good een.

We do have a good central belt following, but given the allocation, only those with sufficient loyalty points can apply for a fame at Tynecastle, which invariably means you need to be a Season ticket holder and go to a number of away and cup games

To be fair the top section of the Roseburn is a far better view than the corner we get at yours. Bring back the beach end!!

Have you heard of the Heart of Midlothian?

Have you seen them in Primrose?

They're the greatest team I knows...

It's nae too bad, I'll give you that.

I prefer to be at the halfway line to see both halves of the pitch evenly.

The Pittodrie corner is not the worst and certainly you get more opportunity to go to the game.

Start of the year, should be a cracking game.

Hope it's a sell out and we see a cracking game between the two teams at the top (you beat Celtic and we beat St J)

The away section at shittodrie is second only to darkhead in how bad it is.

You can't see about 20% of the pitch and if (as usual) it's blowing a gale and/or pishing down there is no protection from the elements.

Sticking a few benches on terracing does not make it an "all-seater" stadium

Ok, ok.

It's an ageing stadium. Were looking to get to a new stadium in a few years time.

I recall a time standing at the Gorgie Road end, where there were no seats and no roof to cover.

Maybe your not old enough to remember those days

I also recall you upgraded your stadium with bench seating as well ;)

Anyway, what's so bad with the view at the away end at Pittodrie?

I've certainly been at a lot worse, not only in Scotland but throughout Europe.

Yes I'm old enough to remember.

That was about 30 years ago, not 2016.

Apart from darkhead, which I mentioned, name an away ground that gives a worse view.

Nah Pittodrie is worse than any other ground. At least Parkhead is angled.

And the fence how very 1980s

Preferred when we got the Paddock End, great atmosphere.

Remember when we would take thousands to Aberdeen it was the best away day of the season for many

Buses staying till 12 bells

I would count the Hearts buses and sometime it was more than 30

The club should look at subsiding travel (if poss) obviously supporters clubs as well, the more the merrier

I'm going up on a Bus but I reckon we wont have more than 6

Changed days  for sure but it would be great to see huge numbers at Aberdeen again

Had a few beers

So the game could get moved to the sunday if Aberdeen make it through, and Scotrail strike (if I am ready it correctly) goes from 00.01 on Saturday to 23.59 the sunday. Bit of a nightmare for arranging travel for first away game of the season.

Four loyalty points for Malta, six for Aberdeen. Do they decide how many loyalty points are dished out by raffle?

I imagine any deadline will have passed by now, especially now tickets are on sale.

When Celtic did it for their 2nd league game to play a friendly it was couple months notice.

You may have seen the light, but very doubtful if you have seen a game from the "away" section of Pittodrie.

Just accept the facts that the viewing of the pitch for Jambos is far worse than you experience on your trips to Tynecastle.

No doubt this will change when you move to your state of the art new stadium.......the sooner the better, I hasten to add.

I've not been to Aberdeen away since the last game of the 2012-13 season when we drew 1-1 and said farewell to Zal. The view from the back of the section is appalling and you can't see most of the far away corner. I don't know how they get away with not selling restricted view tickets for those seats. Alternatively you can stand down the front, and get pissed on. I'm in no rush to return tbh.

Makes sense seeing as Robbie said the Malta trip was just a warm up for the real games.
