a Jamie Vardy type striker

While I fully appreciate these players don't grow on trees that is exactly what we need.

Someone who can run the channels at pace and feed off either Juanma or Salmond.

Sick of seeing these lumbering, big immobile strikers. Pass it accros the back then lump it aimlessly. Boring and easily defended again.

Siphiwe Tshabalala

Mentioned this on another thread.

We are crying out for that type of striker.

I also think we need a Cameron or Hartley type in the midfield

Why did we let Reilly go?

Exactly what we need, yet another crap decision.

Hope to god we are signing another striker because there are very few goals in this team

I think Vardy in our team would be woeful. The ball getting to the strikers is the problem now, not the strikers.

I agree. Supply to the strikers has been a bit of a problem and feel it's our midfield that needs looking at rather than strikers just now.

Out of Djoum, Kitchen, Buaben, Gomis, Cowie, Nicholson, King, Walker, Zannata I'm think Djoum, Kitchen and Walker would have a place in an SPL winning side. Not to say I think the rest are rubbish.

4 goals in 32 appearances with 1 or 2 from the penalty spot. Appreciate many of them were from the bench and his work rate is good but he was hardly prolific.

We must sign another striker if we are to have any chances of finishing in top 3

We don't set up to play with strikers.

They will have to do all the work themselves to score the majority of goals (like Sow had to do). A penalty box striker is wasted in this team.

He's gone on loan to get regular first team football to help his development rather than sitting on the bench every week.

Agree that he is the kind of striker we needed last night and for this week and just wish we had kept him for pre-season and let him off on loan before August if that was our plan.

Im afraid a strikers role, is not only to score goals but to press high thus meaning we can press further up the field as a collective unit.

Unfortunately Robbie doesn't fancy using this type of player, instead using two similar strikers which simply does not work.

Goals don't mean everything for intelligent strikers.

On loan to dunfermline

Cheers. Been on holiday and my mobile ended up submerged in water and is beyond repair!

Djoum fits that type for me but the problem sometimes with 2 up front is it seems he's told to sit deep a bit.
