What is going on? No singing at All! Very embarrasing indeed!

Did we have anything to sing about?

The atmosphere was exactly how anyone who goes to matches would have expected it to be.

We sang just before the teams kicked off - we then seen how Hearts were playing - everything went quiet.

The players have to produce moments of magic to get the fans on their feet, that didn't happen once so no surprise it was a quiet night.

The Internet

Thought the fans were good in the first half but quiet in the second with good reason. Applauding their subs was a bit bizarre.

Didn't notice that at all in section F.

Singing encourages players. Everyone says the Tynecastle atmosphere is immense. Sorry but the last few years a funeral home has a better atmosphere! We sell out our stadium more or less every game yet it is shocking. Yes we were bad tonight but that is no excuse not to get singing! Even heard 2 random guys in wheatfield F singing to the 2 Infonet fans "Can you sing a song for usp?"

Back in the late 70s we always sang , even though the team was shite.

"We're so shite, its unbelievable!" Was a common favourite.

Kids these days, pah.

There was a faint attempt at what sounded like spirit in the sky.

You can't blame the fans for the atmosphere tonight,

You had to be there to understand how bad that actually was.

The fans played their part in filling out the stadium,

I laughed when they scored and their 2 fans went mental.

Does that count?

The team are eye bleedingly boring to watch so no great surprise the atmosphere was non existant. First game and all that but we look worse than we were last year offensively and that was with a lot of attacking players on the pitch. No clear cut chances created and there players look better than ours on the ball

The atmosphere at Tynie has been chronic since the championship winning season to be honest. Last season against celtic when sow scored in the last minute and the 2 wins against aberdeen were the only occasions when it was decent, Christ even the Hibs game in the cup was poor. Don't think it's all to do with the performance on the pitch either just generally think the atmosphere has disappeared in general unfortunately!

It also doesn't help when all the fans that normally sit in G or N1, where the singing starts are spread out in various places in the ground. So the places the singing normally starts has a mix of random folk.

Crowds react to what they see. We watched dross=no atmosphere.

This. This. This.

When will people realise there is a symbiotic relationship between the team and the fans. When the team is putting its heart into the game, so will the fans. It does work both ways but the players are paid to be there - the fans pay to be there so the balance of responsibility is clearly in one direction.

We did not have one single shot at goal and had it not been for the dubious penalty and the og it would have been a1-0 defeat

Did you only start going to matches during 2014/15?!

The idea that the lack of atmosphere at Tynecastle is a recent development is staggering.

Heard a bit of hullo hullo if that counts?? Pish atmosphere not helped by a performance worthy of it.

Heard that up the top of Section G, with the F****n word being sung.

Only once throughout the game though,  Hopefully dies out soon...

Some applauding their goal as well.

Absolutely weird behaviour to applaud the opposition for scoring in a competitive game.

I said out loud why the **** are folk clapping going a goal down?  The response was..."nice to be polite".

**** off!!!

I've never fallen asleep at a game and was driving so totally sober but not even joking I was genuinely struggling to stay awake at times tonight.

If we're creating chances and playing well or the players even look like they give a shit then the atmosphere will improve.

Heard some old boy at the back of section R in the main stand shout "Go on King billy" three times within literally about 5 seconds of him coming on... Presumably repeated because nobody found it hilarious the first time

Said this recently the atmosphere is pretty dire , even at the usual league games at home the 2 sections of away fans drown us out egging on their teams , embarrassing and pathetic even if we are playing crap we THE HEARTS should be rocking every week .

Let's hear some damn NOISE!

Didn't even think it was that bad there was a fair few songs started in G. Not at all up to standard but can't really sing much about what was on the park, atmosphere is largely reactionary and that was awful tonight

Mind when the entire stand was belting out hello hello at Easter Road in 2013 and nobody gave a ****. Folk trying their hardest to be offended by everything. Offended by ****ing words. Losers.

I only go back to the early 1960s but if the current Tynie atmosphere is "morbid" it has usually been morbid or worse since then.
