Just when you hope against hope, yet your worst fears are confirmed, all in one fell swoop.

Happy new season.

Can certainly understand the booing at the end.

Justified.

As feared a certain someone has learned nothing, ready for a 4-6 formation in the away leg. Think I've wasted my money!

This is a genuine question:

Does anyone feel the size of our pitch restricts the way Neilson wants us to play?

Towards the tail end of last season, at Celtic Park we played very well on a bigger pitch, which gave us space and time for movement all over.

I really want to give him a chance.

But, can you imagine a full season of that insipid shite?

****ing hell.

We really were terrible.

pre season or not, that doesn't excuse the complete lack of not having a clue how to play football.

Our DoF needs to really work his arse off to get reinforcements in.

First competitive game to be fair. The players aren't at 100 % fitness and sharpness. But there's no denying that it was a shite performance either.

I'm going to say this now and be rightly slaughtered for it.

But not sure Neilson can take us forward. Our football is one paced and pedestrian.

Appreciate its early days but the Estonians should have won this by a couple.

It was scary how easily our goal was put under pressure, that would have been an utter pumping against a better team.

Highlight of the night was their physio.

Made me feel better about my own physical condition.

It was piss poor.

I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt though. First game, Infonet sat deep and were nowhere near as bad as a lot of us thought.

Still though, I wouldn't be surprised if we lost 1-0 next week.

I think it's apparent we desperately need more options up front.

Sammon offered nothing.

You shouldn't be slaughtered for it.

The signs have not been good for a long time, we will continue to be utter shit this season under Neilson.

I said a few weeks ago that I didn't think Neilson would see the end of the season. I am convinced now.

Sorry, but a large section of our support have said that since mid-late last season.

We need to lose the sentimentality and move on.

He's shite at anything above beating Livingston, Alloa and a very poor Rangers.

I'll leave aside his derby record as it's absolutely appalling, including handing the SC to Hibs.

No excuses. If Neilson doesn't get this mess sorted he has to go. Over 14,000 there tonight and we were a shambles. We'd better never go through a performance like that again.

Come on you know that's an exaggeration

Tonight was poor but Hearts have beaten teams a damn side better than Livingstone & Alloa in the last couple of seasons.

Your last line is very sad reading because it's so true.

No way would these ****s have won the Scottish if we had hung on for feckin nine more minutes in February.

One positive was the size of the crowd. It was utter dire. Neilson still has not grasped our team. Not one good performance. Juanma was so bad I am running out of energy slating this guy.

Totally agree. I've always thought this.

That was honking tonight.

I worry about our signings too. Sammon offered nothing, but received little or no service. The left back looked alright going forward and is two footed, but positionally all over the place. Early days and you won't find an Osman Sow too often, but we could do with upping the quality of player we're bringing in for the season ahead IMO

Slow patient poss poor football!!!

No tempo whatsoever!!!

Summed up late on when they broke 4 v 2 against us, we managed to turn it over and with at least 5 of their players caught upfield I'm looking for us to counter, we break away, give it to Sam and he takes a touch and plays it back!!!!

I'm in two minds: it's our first competitive game of the season and maybe expected to be off the mark, but tonight's performance was just a continuation of last season with no urgency, lack of organisation and the players deciding amongst themselves who'll do the set pieces.

We're not doing too great on the leadership front.

I'm starting to really dislike Neilson. He thinks he's Kasparov playing a game of chess but he's more like Mr Bean. He's utterly clueless and no leader of men.

If Budge and Levein don't have him in the office tomorrow for a "chat" then I reckon we are in deep shit.

There are no excuses for that. Not one. Only a wind up merchant or vermin could possibly try and defend that.

very disapointing tonite, that and section n faceless punters sitting down wtf ?

was like walking into the new dark hmfc age

noticed that neilson was turning a blind eye to the antics of cp in the first half

which depending on your viewpoint, didnt seem to give across a positive image of the current hearts manager

The forwards had nothing to work with tbf.

Juanma at least tried to get involved, Sammon.....the less said the better.

We are a really really slow team.

WW are crying out for someone to drive at the opposition from the halfway line to the 18yrd box, unfortunately I don't think the DoF/manager think that way.

Tonight was awful. There was no 'team' only 11 individuals.

Neilson's job was to have the team ready for the first competitive game, he failed imo.

What do we do in training re set pieces as the players were clueless?

Nothing imo has been 'learned' from last season.

I said when we signed Sammon that if I was a striker Hearts would be the last team i'd sign for. People took it the wrong way but I knew what I meant. We ahoukd just play a 5-5-0

First real game and all that but no denying that was ****ing brutal to watch. Defence looked horrific at times and were we playing a better team we could have lost it.

The most worrying thing is we STILL haven't signed a Rudi/Hartley/Cameron type player capable of creating chances and chipping in with a fair few goals. Strikers look just as pish as ever too although admittedly had basically no service.

Hope to God we have some new signings lined up soon.
