I see that tomorrow (Monday 2nd May), Tuesday and Wednesday they are having public meetings where the club will give a presentation on the new main stand.  It will be held in the Gorgie suite and start at 6:30pm.

Unfortunately I cant make any of them but is anyone planning to go to them?

I can't make them but I'm pretty excited as to what information will be shared. I'm hoping that people will have their cameras at the ready to take any shots, particularly of the inside,of the stand if they are shown. I would be grateful for anyone in attendance to share any pieces of info.

Put simply, this is a huge moment for the club.

I've heard the police are deploying specialist sniffer dogs that can smell a hobbit at 20 paces.

Working for all the meetings but I'm sure somebody will attend.

You don't need a sniffer dog to smell a hobbit.  Anybody with average olfactory ability would manage this.  Any combination involving urine, faeces, dried semen, snotters and heroin is usually a give away.

I'm hoping to go along tomorrow, however I will be surprised if I get in as it will be so busy. I believe its being held in the Gorgie suite. Does anyone know what the capacity of this is?

I feel the same. 3 things i'd like to know

How it is being funded?

What the stand will look like from the pitch? (one tier or two, hospitality boxes or not)

What it will bring the capacity up to?

I don't think any of this will be covered at these meetings but never know.

While I know it wont be the most heavily detailed meeting, how much do we really know at this stage. Add in will there be question and answer section (which as this the "consultation" part of the application stage they may have to at least allow some questions asked, whether they answer it or not is a different matter.)

For any moaning gits who are attending the Public meeting is nothing to do with the quality of the pies or whether or not cup games will be included in the 16/17 season tickets  :2thumbsup:

Don't need a sniffer dog to smell that stale smell of urine on a pair of jeans.

I don't think there'll be much more information released. It'll cover the impact of the nearby areas during construction, and give locals a chance to voice concerns etc.

Exactly this meeting is all about the solution to fix the broken light in the main stand. :)

Are these meetings not for the local community to see the changes first hand and how it will affect the gorgie area?

Shouldn't be a fans night looking for details as I am sure we will see that soon enough.

Will just read email erses.net for the truth.

As long as Prince Albert is in attendance then suffice to say I will sleep well in my bed knowing everything is in hand and above board.

Did anyone invite Tesco?

I still think a Tesco Metro underneath would be a delicious piece of irony.

Decided to nip down anyway. Here now, and to be honest, there must be about 100 here max. Plenty space.

Wee Robbo greeting fans at the entrance to the Gorgie suite is a nice wee touch too ;-)
