First of all well done Falkirk fantastic season so far with nothing like the budget the wee team would have had.

3rd in a two horse race, it was to be expected I suppose.

If Carlsberg did Sunday's

Yet some on here wanted their midfield swapped with ours.

Their frontman.

Oh and their right back.

And with the right backing Stubbs is a better manager than Neilson.

Forget that he has had the 4th highest budget in Scottish football.

So where are all the posters who had those points of view today.

Anyway let's all hope the email erses suffer more misery.

Hibs finish with same points tally as last year, despite the league being easier than last year and them apparently being the best footballing side in the country for a long spell.

Could be a good championship next year with any 4 of Hibs, Killie, Falkirk, Raith or Dunfermline going for the league

How can Stubbs talk about progress when they've finished worse off than they did last year and in a weaker league

Can't begin to imagine how pleasing it s going to be seeing them emptied in the playoffs and then Rangers destroying them in the final.

:jjyay:

Did Stubbs not come out with a comment a few months ago virtually writing Falkirk off?

Selling Malonga, unless he had personal reasons was a mistake.

Two laps of Easter Road celebrating the Cup win was also a mistake.

Heard Stubbs say on the radio post match "y'know, we won the game, that's the most important thing".

No, it isn't.

Hibs' aim today was to pip Falkirk. They didn't. That is the most important thing.

Sure it was before their home game versus Morton, in which they lost 0-3.

It's a thread about hibs finishing 3rd in the 2ndvtier .

Think after some of the guff posted by some Hearts posters and some importers it's a relevant point to make.

But you have a point about not letting it go.

So sorry for that.

Hibs fans in the pub trying to convince themselves it's a good thing that they finished 3rd because it means they can keep playing in preparation for the final

:gok:

Arseholes, hope Raith pump them then they get their arses handed to them at Hampden (Again).

The thread is a jolly good chuckle at the hapless wee team.

No hijacking as far as I can see.

Hibs really do get an easy ride in the media. Third in the Championship with their budget and players is appalling stuff. Losing on goal difference when they signed about 20 strikers including Stokes makes it even more embarrassing. Their supporters should be fuming.

Hibs

Stubbs

I don't think it makes much difference to be honest.

I think Hibs will probably feel they've got the squad size to cope. They'll still play Falkirk imo and that could be the key game in the playoffs.

They're certainly going to be more match ready for cup final than Rangers, who're a bang average side.

I look forward immensely to our first trip to Ibrox next season. They'll probably not be shown more respect by anyone in all of next season, other than trips to Tynecastle.

Losers mentality of our management team is for another thread.

Finishing 3rd instead of 2nd just cost them ?63,300 in prize money.

So they earn ?337,600 for their season's efforts.

Meanwhile Hearts earned ?1,740,750 for their 3rd place.

I thought all teams in that league got same money regardless of position? Or is that outside the top 2?

The 2 cup runs have taken the focus away from a truly awful league campaign.

Pumped in the playoffs then the cup should show them and Stubbs up for the losers they are.

I must be mistaking that for something else then. Perhaps a standard payment the premiership teams get.

Small not though, they only lost out on ?62300. That extra ?1000 could go towards a nice wee cup final display.

They had the quality not to be relegated in the first place. Their problem is they can't perform when it really matters. I honestly think their players are affected by the Hibs fans' nerves in the crowd. Every Hibee I know dreads all the big games.

Is it possible to put a figure on the respective TV money of the two clubs?

That is the financial distribution by the SPFL, which mainly comes from the TV deal.

They will however earn TV money from any televised cup ties. (approx ?80k-?100K per game)

As was pointed out by others, they kept spending money they didn't have, on more and more strikers - then mess up on goal difference..! :D
