Perry Kitchen

Perry looks like a really good addition. Seems very controlled and comfortable on the ball, technically good and likes a tackle. I thought the same at Fir Park last week. He seems to have settled quickly too and the players trust him with the ball. Should probably have launched it for Roberts' goal but he has all the attributes to do well for us.

(Excuse the positivity!)

He's a very, very good player from what I've seen so far.

He has that competitive bite that we've missed in the midfield recently.

He was probably the best player today however I dont know if the formation we have played since he signed is getting the best out of the team.

The biggest compliment you can play to Perry is that Scott Brown hasn't been that influential in the last two games we've played against Celtic.

He's competitive but without all the nonsense of getting in folks faces, shouting at the ref or complaining, he just gets on with it.

Looking like a great addition to the club.

Thought he a had a mixed game, with some good closing down and spells of passing. However, his header gave the ball away for second and he was slow to cover for the third. Seems to be comfortable playing with ball and game in front of him, but he looks less comfortable playing on the turn and taking the ball off the defence. Early days.

Scat Broon has been non-existent for most of this year. But that doesn't take away from Kitchen who has been one of the better signings along with Souttar and Rossi.

If we can get him to carry the ball forward when the opportunity arises he will do great for us.

I know he's more a holding type midfielder but he's good enough to provide a forward threat too.

Very good standard of player to be aiming for.

Thought he was very good today our standout player. A step up from Gomis and Pallardo. If we recruit well for next season we should push all the way this time.

Exactly this ^^^^ as we've not won many since he came! Kitchen, Prince and Djoum can't all play in the same team as it was shown again today.

He was great today as he was at Parkhead.

My only concern is how much use we have for him.

Against teams other than Celtic, a very defensive midfielder may not be useful.

This, I thought he was great today and we have missed someone like him.

I think when he signed it was said he could also play at the back. So perhaps in those games he could be the one who drives out effectively with the ball.

Very effective player. Gets around the pitch quietly breaking up attack after attack and doesn't seem to tire despite working non stop. Hopefully he attract some of his attacking friends from the MLS to join us.

Thought that his effort today was tremendous and he was amongst our better players.

But to me his position is a bit old fashioned - almost playing as a sweeper in front of the centre halves. He rarely gives the ball away but they are all very low risk sideways or backwards.

The third and best of the players brought in by the current management to play as a spoiler. But for me our best football this season had Djoum and Buaben in the middle. Djoum is capable of the role Bitton plays for Celtic. And that would allow more creative players further forward.

Thought he was better second half than first.

First half he did too many square passes when forward passes were on.

I like him alot. Was hoping he scored so his buddy Heath Pearce would mention him and us on his YouTube show the mixer on kicktv.

We do have to defend against other teams, unsure what you mean by not very useful.

If we have a very good defensive midfielder it should allow other players to attack and be creative, your statement is very simple and bizarre.

Thought he was average today. Overall quite impressed but too much of a square passer for me. Will improve.

He is decent but plays a boring roll. As others have said we don't really need a holding midfielder in many games

Know what u mean but I think he seems more than just that. I think certainly at spfl levels he could be a very effective water carrier. Always showing, dictating tempo, organising. A Scottish level Carrick type. The fact he also wont take no shit helps!

What I've seen so far is a guy with a good 'picture' on and off the ball, comfy on the ball and a good, if unadventurous passer. That'll do!!!

Remember when Real and Chelsea were successful with a player called Makelele? Good teams are built with these players doing the dirty work. Kitchen is a little like that.

Really good performance today and looks exactly what we need. A definite improvement on Gomis and Pallardo.

but they didn't have to play against crap teams like Killie Hamilton and Dundee Utd . We would be far better off in these type of games with box to box midfielders

Craig Gordons Gloves

I worry that he lies too deep and doesn't provide the incisive passes, meaning the likes of Djoum had to come too far back to collect the ball. Decent player but as has been mentioned, playing him slows down our game a bit

Really good game today, won the midfield battle, moved the ball well and not afraid to take possession under pressure, he looks like he's settled in very quickly.
