Rude not to keep this going after good content on the previous years versions.

Season kicks off this coming Saturday with Roma travelling to the Bentegodi to face Verona in the early evening kick off.

Plenty of money spent across the league with Milan investing some serious cash. Some notable departures with Kovacic set to become the latest as he sets of for Madrid.

Great stories with the promotion of both Carpi and Frosinone and huge game in match week two as Juve travel to Rome.

Very likely Juve win a fifth straight scudetto but the acquisition of Dzeko could possibly give Roma some hope in making up the ground they so easily lost last term.

Predict top 3 of Juve, Roma and Milan. The signings of Romagnoli, Baca and Bertolacci could really make a difference.

Oh and an honourable mention for that man Totti set to play in his 24th season. Utterly incredible.

Not watched Serie A since Lombardo was strutting his stuff for Sampdoria. Always found it to be a bit stop start to be honest. Bit of a game of chess sometimes.

So for the non educated, who should a Jambo follow in Italy? Palermo for Pinilla? Roma because of Pasquale Bruno?

Or Atalanta, Fiorentina, or Milan because of Stefano Salvatore?

Always had a soft spot for Roma personally. Total man crush on Totti, would love to see him win it again and round off his career in style.

Pinilla is riding bursd and scoring overheads at Atalanta these days.

I have a small soft spot for Sassuolo as well.

**** knows what to expect from Sampdoria this year.

A baffling managerial appointment that screams of being sacked by Christmas.

Obviously, Juve will be very hard to stop from taking another Scudetto. Fancy a wee bet on Dzeko @ 10/1 to win the capocannonieri.

Always had a soft spot for Lazio since the days of Signori up top, cant look beyond Juve though, even after losing Tevez and Vidal they are still stronger than the rest.

Serie A can do one this season after Parma done a Sevco and are now in the equivalent of the bottom tier of the Edinburgh & Lothians Amateur League!

Hope Roma can win one more for Totti. Think I'll have a wee tear in my eye when he finally hangs his boots up. Can't wait for it to start.

Forza Roma

Great to see another Serie A thread....good man, Sexton.

Will be interesting to see how the Milan clubs fare this season and the newcomers will be an intriguing addition. No one thought Sassuolo would do much when they came up and were a breath of fresh air.

Bring it on !

Encourage you to give it another chance Sir; fairly certain there were more goals per game in Serie A than LaLiga or Epl again last season.

Hopefully Djeko can score the goals that give Roma a chance and with Cassano back at Samp they will not be dull

As you say about Totti incredible. 38 years and still playing at that level.

Strootman injured again.

Could be the end of him at this level if he doesn't get a touch of luck.

Looks mad hot in Rome tonight.

A wee taster before Serie A starts at the weekend.

Acquafresca and Matteo Brighi still kicking about playing for Bologna  think that Oikonomou is the ex Ross County full back aswell, fancy Lazio to pump them here.

Kishna looks a good signing for Lazio. Hopefully Biglia's injury is not too serious and he'll be ok for Wednesday.

That's amazing

Looking forward to Fiorentina - AC Milan later. Really interested to see how Bacca and Adriano do at Milan.

And now Fiorentina lead. Marcos Alonso with a ridiculous freekick, always really liked him.

That statistic abouthe Series A being the top scoring league in Europe will surprise the naysayers..

MILAN should have pulled one back there

wtf was zapata doing  should have just buried that.

Bacca was wrongly ruled offside aswell but he made a mess of it.

'technically excellent but defensive and dull' is the common thing I've seen people say about it. May have been true about 10 years ago but now that applies much more to the EPL than Serie A. Always enjoy watching Italian games these days.

Fiorentina ripping the utter pish here  i know milan have 10 men but i think they'll need a good few signings to get near the top end of the table.

Never understood it at any time.

Some of the Italian football going back 20 years on the box was sublime.

Sadly the team I support (and one of Pinilla's former teams), Cagliari, were relegated at the end of last season so in terms of Serie A I shall just be a neutral observer this season.

Juve still the team to beat IMO. Balotelli back to Milan seems like a strange signing.
