Ancelotti sacked!

Will take a year out from the game. He has some health issues and need an operation. No doubt will be in contention for all the big jobs once ready to return, so that rules out Liverpool

Rafa Benitez is favourite to replace him at the Bernabeau.

Has Rodgers been sacked as well?

No he will get his pick of top top clubs and Liverpool are not in that bracket..

Either that or return to Italy

Being serious, Wenger's going upstairs so Anceloti's off to the Gunners.

Doubt he will be going in to any new job next season as he is going in for some pretty serious back surgery and has already commented that he is taking a year out.

Sheffield United have sacked Nigel Clough. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a move for Paul Hartley. He must be on the radar for ambitious English clubs, given his record to date.

The only team I think ancelotti would go to in England is man city. Liverpool need gutted out as do man city but city have the pull and the deep pockets to attract the top players. Wenger is safe as houses in my opinion

Real Vallecano manager was mentioned as his replacement a few weeks ago.

That's a Lotti pish.

Benitez will be the new manager, good appointment imo.

What if "your" top clubs have no vacancies?

Ancelotti had dinner with AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani last night so maybe he's heading to Milan. Although Ernesto Bronzetti (his agent) has been reported as saying Carlo wants a year off.

Klopp will be off to Real, I'd imagine...

He'll only manage in Germany, or England. language barriers.

Must be some set of stairs as Wenger has been going up them for the last couple of years.

It didn't stop Bobby Robson managing in Spain, Holland and Portugal.

Ancelotti's flying out to Canada on Friday for spinal surgery (which is why he's fancying a year out to recuperate) and Milan expect to get an answer one way or the other before then.

Don't really see why that's funny. Benitez is a very good manager with a very good record.

He's also got a good record in the league Real play in and have had a hard time winning. He's won it twice.

3 European trophies (with 3 different teams) and a run of two Champions League finals in 3 seasons, 2 Spanish league wins, cup winner in England and Italy, not a million miles from winning the league with Liverpool, too. I find it funny how many people seem to have it in their head that he's some kind of joke figure.

Some up to date stats. In the last 3 seasons he's had win rates of 58% at Chelsea and 56% at Napoli. Alex Ferguson's win rate at Man Utd was 58% and at Aberdeen was 59%. Arsene Wenger's win rate at Arsenal is 57%. Benitez is a top coach whatever way you look at it.

He's also got the ego for Real. Doesn't shy from confrontation and has plenty of self-confidence. He's also been at Real before as a youth coach.

Equipped to do well there.

I'm not talking about the last couple of years, thanks for taking the time to reply though.

Rafa is a good manager. Known for tinkering with his sides though, not sure how that will go down at Real.

Klopp won't, IMO go to Liverpool.

Don't see Ancelotti to Arsenal, certainly not next season. Don't see Wenger stepping down yet. Klopp to Arsenal when Wenger does decide to step down (up?) looks a better fit.

Similarly, Ancelotti to Man City when they bin Pellegrini next season is possible too.

Klopp to Napoli though?

Klopp to Man City in January?

His next job will be very interesting. He did brilliantly at Dortmund without spending massively. He overachieved, without a doubt.

It will be interesting to see how he would handle a club like Man City with money to burn and high expectations.

Klopp is coming to West Ham. Ancellotti is also coming to West Ham as is Slaven Bilic. We're going for a three pronged managerial system, apparently.

But seriously, if McLaren comes I don't know how I will ever get over it after Allardyce.

If they got rid of Sam, just to replace him with McLaren, then they are mad.

Can't see past Bilic, he has left Besiktas, they'd be mad not to go for him unless he has another job lined up.

Odds on with the bookies but rumours down there of Emery and Biesla. Happy with any of em but I think what they need is someone who will really shake the club up from top to bottom. See it as a long term project. Someone who will make the most of a smallish budget and actually manage the team. I'm not really up on European football but Emery and Biesla both seem to fit the bill but seem kind of out of our league. It's nice to dream though. Nap it'll be someone dreadful though. I've a lot of time for David Gold but Sullivan strikes me as a feckin Spiv and annoys the **** out of me.

Guys like Ancellotti see Liverpool as one of Europe's big clubs. No doubt about that.
