Thought Zal was their top man yesterday

Both legs. Won everything that went into the box.

How dare he drink water in front of them. Somebody should write a letter to the SFA.

And he's not praying

The arrogant piece of vermin was standing drinking water staring out the Hibs fans with a smug grin on his face - he then started getting a few pelters from some fans in the rows in front - at which point he spat the water out as if aiming towards the Hibs fans.

I love Zal.  I think he'd be great to have back.

Certainly. A proper captain and leader

The Great Khali

one moaning that "his sleeves are too long". Fuds!

To be fair I noticed this last week. He plays the whole game with his hands in his sleeves. It actually annoyed me. More than it should have but it did.

That's just not right is it.

What's not right?

Do you hate Zal because he plays for rangers?  He hasn't acted disrespectfully to the club since being at rangers and you can't expect him not to work.  He was a really good player and captain for us.

No I don't hate him at all. His time at Hearts is in the past and that's where it should remain.

Never ceases to amaze me how many on here wish to turn the clock back

I thought it was skins he wore that had a thumb hole so your sleeves stayed down. It does look a bit strange though.

Uncle Buck

He was superb over both legs.

A team with Zaliukas in it was always going to get the better of Hibs.

Zal getting it up the vermin is always a winner with me.

He hates Hibs and he never forgets to rub in the fact that they are verminous losers.

Yas, Zal's a legend, that unfortunately just so happens to play for the filth. I for one will always remember him for being a club captain and Scottish cup winner, a leader and a fantastic captain in his day. Would I take him back? Yes no question. Coud it happen? Doubt it.

Apparently he is rank rotten and they don't know how they never won with him playing [emoji81][emoji318]

He sat beside me at a game when he was injured. He was animated and vocal, munching sweeties. Obviously loved the club and, "disliked" the H1b5

'fraid Zal would be out of our price RANGE..

Agreed!

He was in control and, over the two games he was first class.

On the OP, I am sure at one point, going for the ball at a throw in, I'm sure I saw him do a sneaky 5-1.

I think he's looked good in the minimal time he's played this season.

He could've definitely played in our team and I don't see why he hasn't still got the talent to play in the SPL. He's only 31, still legs in him yet.

Ian Black copping it as well. Good to see that two of our heroes from 2012 are still able to get right under their skin.

Even more pleasing is the thought that even if time and space somehow aligned perfectly and some long forgotten ritual was performed at just the right moment so that there would be another all edinburgh Scottish cup final, and the hobos somehow won, they still would only be drawing!

ROFL XD

How? Surely even in that event we would be 2-1 up? 8-2 being the present score.

I would think he has done well enough in recent crucial games to earn an extension to his current contract and take over the captaincy.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat. He clearly loves the club as much as we love him and he'd do well to bring Alim along.

Probably my favourite Hearts player.

I think it's fair to say he's the best captain we've had in my 25 years watching Hearts.

Good post. I've had a couple less years than that but I'd agree.

It's never going to happen so the discussion is purely academic but a partnership of Ozturk and Zaliukas would be fantastic next season. Zal's exactly the sort of physical presence we need alongside Ozturk and has much more football about him than Wilson so would add that to the team as well.

Since McCall came in, Zal has looked like the same player who lifted the scottish cup 3 years ago.

If his wages were not crazy, I'd love him back.
