JamboFever
No. It'll be a relief and an affirmation of Craig and Robbies' strategy for this division. Not an achievement where that sort of celebration would be appropriate. Let's leave the celebrating of minor victories and others' misfortunes to our tiny little neighbours. Bauld
We have had a tremendous season but an open top parade for hammering teams like Alloa and Cowdenbeath? No. This has been fun but it's about getting back to competing for European spots and titles in the top league. Stage one is almost complete. 3fingersreid
Absolutely not, however I'm a bit surprised at some comments made ,not on this thread but on others ,that appear to me anyway , that some don't want to be celebrating ,when it happens ,a league title victory From near extinctionlast year , the centenary of McRaes , the sad loss of a legend it's been a monumental year let's embrace it when it happens and celebrate it appropriately . The players deserve it
2NaFish
Had we pipped rangers and hibs to the title on the last day of the season, i'd stretch to a few bottles of bubbly. As it is our celebrations should be largely limited to GIRFUYs to the aforementioned teams.

The players deserve it We are going to win a league with rangers and the hobos in it if that's not worth celebrating what is. I'm pretty certain if either of those won the league they would celebrate. Saying that an open top bus would be a bit over the top.

I think we should enjoy it for what it is but not go nuts about it We should milk it just enough to get it right up hibs and rangers but not embarrass ourselves in the process. XB52
No way, however it should still be celebrated. As has been pointed out on another thread, the trophy we will, hopefully, be given, is the same one that Dave Mackay lifted over 50 years ago so we should fully celebrate this - no bus though

FWJ
It is an achievement and should be celebrated with a modest flag ceremony. To suggest it's meaningless is very disrespectful to the other teams in the league (other than a certain 2 - they can GIRUT). No bus though. Walter Bishop
I think a celebration of some sort will be due, For some of these young players it will be their first success. We weren't fancied to come up due to Sevco being in our league, yet we have blown them away. Open top bus? Nope, but how many of us will see Hearts lifting another title in our lifetimes? Remember we were on the verge of extinction to now lifting the 1st division title, if anything it should be a celebration of the hard work and effort that has gone on from fans to Ann Budge to get this club back to where it belongs. dode
An open top bus might be a bit to much but we should be celebrating winning the league. Some of the comments across JKB are very oldfirmesque in their arrogance we are a championship team who have won the league let's celebrate. maybe winning the Scottish cup has made us feel we don't need to celebrate minor trophies......Christ we've listed the tennents sixes as an honour in the past. A_A wehatethehibs
Not much point? Its just a case of job done. Par for the course. A good achievement for the players and I'm sure there'll be great celebrations when the trophy is paraded at Tynecastle. Judging by Neilsons body language vs Cowdenbeath he couldn't care less about this league and is already preparing the players for the top league now. Take the applause, enjoy the day, then put the medal in it's box, trophy in the cabinet and move on to much bigger things next season.

oh ah grantona
I really hope not. The championship flag should also be used as a reminder to everyone connect with club of where we have come from in past few years to where we never want to be again!!!! I firmly believe we could be on the cusp of something special and we need to be aiming a lot higher than getting over excited with a championship win even if it does contain a name in Rangers and a rival we have smashed regularly anyway. Keep celebrations to stadium as a club and the fans can enjoy a few parties in pubs and houses

queensferryjambo
No open top bus parade for me! BUT I would maybe have a family day on possibly the Sunday after the final game. A bit like the Sunday Celebrations held at Tynecastle after the 3 Scottish Cup wins or even like the family open days they used to have in the 80s and 90s. Something inside the stadium reasonably low key and geared towards young Hearts fans.
Bob Loblaw
Clearly there shouldn't be an open top bus, but it should definitely be celebrated. We're on the verge of winning a league with Hibs and Rangers in it, it's the 100th anniversary of a team that were a huge part of our history and it's the same trophy that Dave MacKay lifted. The most important fact though is that a year ago we were worried about the very future of the club, now we're bouncing back to the top flight at the first time of asking. If we can't celebrate moments like that, what's the point in even following a team like Hearts?
