Still in with a chance!

Was very unsure with this weeks challenge but got it right in the end :D

Well done to the nine survivors.  That last challenge was a lot trickier than many people expected.

This week's challenge is also one to think about.  It's in the English Premier League.

Saturday, February 7, 2015, Tottenham v Arsenal.

The outcome possibilities are: Home Win, or Away Win, or Draw.  Each player chooses one of the outcomes by posting on this thread before the round deadline.

The deadline for posting is Friday February 6, at 5PM Edinburgh time.

The challenge is open ONLY to the following members:

Allez Rossoneri

cashgenerator

Dagger is Back

Hannibal Lecter

LoveNgoo

Normthebarman

Stuart McNeill

tian447

Good luck!

Four survivors still to predict.  Only about 24 hours to the deadline.

Those who fail to submit a prediction by the deadline will be eliminated from the competition.

Just noticed Sanchez is out for the game.  Could have swung it into the others favour a wee bit ;)

Only 2 left in it.  Should mean that someone wins it next week

I've had a good run so I'm not too pissed off about Arsenal chucking away a 1-0 lead

:seething::lol:

If the last two both get the next predicition wrong, does that mean everyone is back in again?

If the last two get the prediction wrong, that means there is no winner and the prize money will be added to the next game, thus doubling the pot.

However, I'm going to present a challenge for next week that will ensure that there is one winner, and one winner only.

Well done to the last two survivors, cashgenerator and Normthebarman:bravo:

The contest started with 237 players, and all have been eliminated except those two, who have successfully predicted the outcome of four games.

The final challenge in the game will be next week, and it will be different from any of the earlier challenges.  A winner is guaranteed ..... as long as the players submit a prediction prior to the deadline.

Don't forget, the winner will receive a prize of ?250 - AND a donation of ?250 will go to the Hearts Youth Development Committee.

The final challenge of the contest will be posted on Sunday.

Flip a coin.  Heads it goes to cashgenerator, tails it goes to Normthebarman

If it lands on its side, it goes to tian447

Is this the part where we do our X-Faxtor style sob story on how much we really want to win?

Wouldn't do any harm.

This is the final challenge, and only the last two survivors, cashgenerator and Normthebarman, are eligible to play.

The challenge is in two parts.  The second part will be used only as a tiebreaker, if necessary.

The game is Hearts v Livingston on Saturday February 14.

Challenge, part one.  Each player must predict the time of the first goal of the game.  Whichever player is closest, wins.

In the event of a tie on part one (a no-scoring draw, for example), we will move to part two.

Challenge, part two.  Each player must predict the attendance at the game.  Whichever player is closest to the right figure, wins.

The statistics published on the HMFC website will be used to determine the winner.  http://www.heartsfc.co.uk/fixtures/first

Obviously, the player who posts second could have an advantage, so DO NOT POST YOUR PREDICTIONS ON THIS THREAD.  SEND THEM TO ME VIA PM.

I will post the predictions on this thread after the deadline, but before the game.

The deadline for entries is Friday February 13 at 5PM Edinburgh time.

Good luck to you both.

Say What Again

Good luck guys.

Though as there's a SLIM chance Norm may buy me a pint out of his winnings, I'll be rooting for him.

If cashgenerator wants to raise it by a packet of crisps, my support is his. :thumb:
