Doctor FinnBarr
Got a bottle of vodka from Morrisons up Livi centre today and went through the self-service till. Damn thing was faulty and the lassie had to stay with us til we had finished. When we got home we discovered that the security tag had been left on the bottle. Now, to get this off I can do a 16 mile round trip to return to the shop or go to their Bathgate store which I really don't want to do as the Highland games are on. Any way of removing these things Kickback?
tian447
Get a magnet. Hold it against the lock on the tag.

super_vlad
Yep, magnet will work if it's strong enough. Depends in what type it is, if it's around the collor why not just open the top?
Doctor FinnBarr
Just took it to Bathgate in the end up. Odd thing is it set off alarms going in but didn't on the way out of Livi. Shoplifters could have a field day!
