Just finished Season 2 of Westworld and thought it was class again.

A bit harder to work out what was going on at times but tied up in the end.

Great stuff.

Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouses series on BBC1 has been very good easy viewing.

Move just finished The Marvellous Mrs Maizel on Amazon Prime. Really funny show set in late 50’s New York about a Jewish woman who accidentally ends up becoming a stand up comic. Very good.

Thanks to recommendations on here i have watched 7 Seconds, The Staircase, and Mr Mercedes.

The 3 of them were fantastic and compelling viewing.

Anyone recommend any other programmes along the same lines please?

Will save me spending hours looking through the whole of this thread

About a lad whos mum OD’s on Heroine & he moves in with his gran & 4 uncles. He notices they all seem to have cash, cars, drugs & party hard without having jobs. They are an organised crime family. Set in LA. I think its based on an old OZ movie of the same name.

Anyway. Really good.

Sharp objects is really decent. A slow burner though that is character driven but also filled with a tension that something bad going to happen

Designated Survivor on Netflix, first episode will grip you, with 42 to go, best I've watched for a long time.

Hmmmmmm. One of those that was a great concept, but for me, fell away after the first few episodes and just became ridiculous. Stopped watching after half a dozen.

Does anyone know where you can watch the Man City documentary online if you don't have Amazon Prime?

I don't know, but you can sign up for a free month of amazon prime. Would give you enough time to watch the series and then bin it or you could just open a new email address and get another free month and continue to do that rather than pay.

The footage of the fans outside Anfield before the City match is the best fan footage I have ever seen. Shows you what the game means, amazing

Episode 7 I take it.

The bus scenes are basically hooligans pelting a bus.

No. End of 6. You could say that, but that's what football means to some people. Explains the fear Man City played with

Imagine if we have to play a huge game at Ibrox or Darkheid.

As soon as the match is announced, their message boards are full of absolute weapons organising meetings to welcome our bus with everything they've got.

The club issue warnings to Rangers/Celtic and the Glasgow polis about the possible issue.

On the day, the Glasgow polis and the club issue a public statement, saying the route of the bus has been changed, and publish details of the exact route it will take. Past a building site. To a very narrow hairpin bend that will take a long time to navigate a bus around. But it's ok, as the polis will surely have the crowd control measures in place...

Our players inside the bus have to move into the middle of the bus to avoid glass breaking and other possible damage. The bus is so broken, it has to be taken out of service, the players are rattled and lose early goal in the game.

But hey, those lovable fans eh!

It's an absolute disgrace, and neither Liverpool, UEFA or the Merseyside police who were all complicit in the whole thing have done anything about it....

Only 4 episodes but just finished watching Evil Genius on Netflix. Really good.

Its a true life documentary about a bank robbery/murder that starts really bizarrely.

Guy rocks up to a bank with a bomb locked round his neck and robs the place. Only escapes with a paltry amount ($10k or something) before being apprehended by the police across the street.

You see footage from the banks cameras and as the guy is handcuffed on the ground by the police, someone is actually filming it when the bomb round his neck goes off (horrible as you get to see it).

Was he part of the robbery or a patsy?

The whole story unfolds in the 4 episodes complete with interviews of the accused etc.

Really gripping stuff.

We watched that, it was ok if a bit self indulgent from the guy making the thing. The main woman in it was mental, completely mental.

I saw the clip where Pep was getting quite animated during his team talk in the changing room. Somebody mashed it up with the audio where David Brent 'fuses Flashdance with MC Hammer sh1t'. Very funny! ?

Man City have quite a poor fan base and struggle to sell their tickets going by the footage of the crowds.
