Stephens wanted Greenco into the first division so have withdrew their pastry supplies in support of aunt Sally and James Traynor their two best and most powerful customers . The daily retard to offer free birdies to all readers as long as they are able to scratch their name onto the coupon .
That's my take on it .

Fans coming along to the Pre Season Friendlies will notice a significant change to our catering kiosks at East End Park: Stephens the Bakers are now no longer operating these kiosks, Dunfermline Athletic have taken the decision to bring the operation of these back in house.
Speaking about this change Karen Masterton, Executive Director, commented:-
"We hope that by bringing the operation of these kiosks back in house it will generate additional revenue back to Dunfermline Athletic which is so crucial at this point in time. What fans will notice is that during the pre-season games we are trialing a few new products to assess what is the most popular and what works and what wont work.
"This is to allow us to ensure our product range for next season ties in as closely as possible to the feedback from the recent fans survey, another issue raised by this is the need for us to be more flexible in terms of offering a wider variety of drinks for adults and children which we will try to do. We also hope that in the longer term it will allow us the flexibility to sell additional products from our kiosks such as smaller items from shop, matchday programmes and even our 50/50 tickets. "
Everyone at Dunfermline Athletic would like to thank Stephens the Bakers for all of their support and assistance over the years it has been greatly appreciated.

I bought a pie. Burnt. So went back later got a bridie. Terrible. Stand in a queue to buy it then stand in another queue to pay for it. When it's busy loads will walk away no doubt,..

I had a scotch pie and have to say it was rather nice with broon sauce!
I saw the guy in front of me with a bridie though, and it looked shite, I mean, really shite! He left half of it!

How difficult would it be for all clubs to get a local baker to batter out a few thousand sausage rolls, pies, and steak bridies for each game. In the current economic climate I'm sure they would cut each others throats when it comes to pricing and still turn out something decent that the club could make a profit on. It's not rocket science. U make a good pie, I'll pay extra and eat it. You're doing it wrong.

Stephens sells the bridies that dunfy used to have for just over a quid, people would pay double that at a football match. Killie pies are great as well and cost about 85p to make, good profit on them. The hearty pies at tynie are now amongst the best in the spl.

Bridies are one the 3 worst foods in the world, in no particular order, apart from number uno,
LAMB
SQUARE SAUSAGE & BRIDIES
Feckin devils food.......
