Ok been a wee while and I have most nights off for next couple of weeks so hey lets play. i wil have another cheesy theme and will start the game in a few days depending on numbers signed up

Best to search for old mafia games to get an idea, but sign up and play for this as well. The numbers are significant as determines your role in the game and sometimes is used within the game as order of players can help with clues. It's easier than it sounds and is fun!

basics:

There's two teams - villagers and goons.

villagers try and kill goons, goons try and kill villagers.

However, villagers don't know the identity of anyone else (while the goons know each other)

There's usually 4 goons in a game


Vote to lynch who you think is a goon during the 'day' (or trick people into voting out villagers if you are on the goons side)
- person with most votes is then lynched

goons kill person each 'night'

villagers win if they kill all goons
goons win when they get a majority


Some villagers will have roles to help the village

most games will have

a cop (investigate a player at night)
the masons (learn the results of the cop's investigations)
a protector
some sort of non mason killer

and anything else is usually explained in the OP of the game

Dont worry the numbers just get put in a random generator for the distribution of the roles. it can be a bit confusing to start but once you play a game most become hooked! Cheers Ed for the info on games, im just to lazy to write it out. Still a good idea to look at previous games to get a rough idea, but all games are a bit different and i like to have silly themes for my games...still deciding between 2 for this one. will either be come dine (die) with me or based on a Scottish football scenario thats been going on this summer
