We get the money we're due at the end of the season, regardless of appearances.

Handy to have that sum coming in either way
I think it was posted before (IIRC) that we were due £1m as soon as he played 100 games. If he reached the end of the contract without hitting that target, then the money was paid pro-rata. As he's played 94 out of the 100 we can still expect to get most of the million.
Still not seen anything to back up the OP's claim that he needs another operation, so for Craig (and Scotland) I hope it turns out to be BS and he can, at last, get on with his career.

Didn't know that was the agreement - nice one.
Add in the Wallace money and that will make a tidy difference to our budget.

O'Neil wont rush CG. He will be back in when craig is ready. Which may be next season.

I'd be surprised to see him play for Sunderland again. He's fit again (for how long?) but only 3rd choice plus I think they're due us quite a bit of money if he plays another few games. I also saw in one of the local papers down there a few weeks ago they were suggesting it was unlikely he'd be offered a new contract in the summer.

I know but MO'N knows all about CG and what he can get out of him. I reckon he will get a new deal but wont be a long one. Probably a 1 year extension.

I could still see him at Spurs or a newly promoted team for next season. Still a top goalie when back to full fitness. Heres hoping.

i think you could count on one hand the amount of howlers Craig Gordon has made in his career up here and down there (albeit injured a wee bit ) that to me is something not many keepers can claim.
