They are hopeless.

Grainger seemed to have it in his head today that he was David Beckham playing ridiculous 60 yard balls every time he was in possession.

We miss Wallace so, so much. Every attack just comes to nothing when these two get on the ball.

Grainger's a decent player but Hamill is terrible.

I reckon there is a half decent player in Grainger. Im hopeful that Hammill will be replaced asap by Gowser.

Like others on here, I think Grainger has something to offer - but Hammill is a first division player.

Grainger's had a wee purple patch at the start of the season and blinded everyone to the fact he's pish. Not as pish as Hamill is nothing to frame and put on the mantlepiece.

Grainger also doesn't come across as a total bell-end which helps.

Unfair on Grainger - however hamell is the worst right back at Tynecastle I've seen since the bad old days in the 70's.

Grainger had, I thought, a reasonable game today when it is considered he is getting back to full fitness after an op. Hamill is a better defender than he is an attacking wing back although it is hard to tell without him having a good wide-right player to interact with. JH does, however, need to get his boots looked at - most of his corners and free kicks were woeful

It is also worth remembering that Wallace was a better attacking wing back when he had an on-form Driver (or, latterly,Temps) in front of him.

Thought Grainger did ok today considering for most of the game he had SFA in front of him. Still have no idea who was supposed to be playing on the left hand side of midfield. Hamill was poor. Also what was difficult to fathom was the tactic of Hamill and Grainger putting across in swinging free kicks when we had good opportunities to whip it behind the defence across the six yard box which would have been much harder to defend.

Grainger offers the defence balance but he is positionally and defensively poor.

Sees a lot of the ball but does little with it.

Not as bad as Hamill but still another poor signing and I'd rather McHattie got a shot.

Lets compare the 2 -
Grainger - Is tough in defence\can head\can tackle\has pace and ability on the ball\can cross.   Has been injured -and is steadily improving.
Hamill - NON of the above.  Must be Vlads son.  He was at fault at first goal.   He put over one corner and one free kick that went way beyond the last man.   Why is he taking these kicks?   Why is on the field?   What was JJ thinking?

Hamster is pish, how he gets a game in front of Gowser is a disgrace.  Grainger seems better, though managing to hit a one-man wall from a set-piece is pretty awful.

Woeful this pair Grainger scared of going forward and is a
Bombscare. Hamill is a little thug and a waste of skin. The
fact Macgowan left out for either of this pair beggars belief. Time to give Barr a run at right back and Macgowan a regular left back or try kids.

McGowan really isn't as good as folk are making out.

In the full back position he's just as bad if not worse than Grainger going forward.

He should be in the team instead of Hammil right enough.

You could select two random posters off here and they should be in team instead of Hammil and Grainger.

Could you remind the readers who was fouled in their box for the non-penalty.

Barring the odd forray forward. 1st half screaming at him to push on to Utd fullback had absolute acres to run into but never gambled. IMO he is shocking just now when modern
Day fullbacks are so vital. Maybe just spoilt in the past with Fyssas and Wallace but his so Frustrating.

Tbh it looked like grainger took a tumble instead of getting his head up and squaring the ball! Too busy looking for a pen. Both are utter gash!

It's beside the point but two hands were raised and on the player and that is as seen from front of Gorgie Stand.  Good enough all afternoon for free kicks to be awarded to Utd.

The point being made was that Grainger never got forward although a none-too-subtle change in a subsequent post now has "Barring the odd foray forward".

Grainger isn't bad. He does okay.

Hamill is awful. How has he made it as a premier league footballer? I reckon I'd do better and I'm shit.

was hamill actually brought in to be our first choice rb?

Why isn't hamill played in his best/favoured position - defensive midfield.

For example today - mcgowan rb and hamill instead of mrowiec at dm.

Is it that difficult?
